Hey BBP,

Just curious about what the requirement will be in order to participate and receive points in the next freeroll, March 12.

I have not seen anything other than:
1) We need to make Quality Posts and accumulate 50 points.
You can view your points in the top right of your posts.
It takes about 15-20 posts to make the 50 points.
2) BBP usually posts a list on Thursday showing members that have met the minimum 50 points. The post gets updated periodically until Sunday.
3) Passwords are PM'ed about 20 minutes prior to the Freeroll
4) The points are reset about Noon EST on Monday and we start all over.

I think that it is a good system to promote Quality Posting on a consistent basis. Plus BBP keeps a tight rein on password sharing and spam-type posts.
I actually proofread my notes before posting (most times lol).

Ok, I didnt notice my points total had been reset already. I just wasn't sure if that was going to be the requirement each week. I guess it is now though.

just so that I understand this ...if we reset on mondays at roughly noon then dont post anything from tounry time sunday until you see that you have been reset...the reason I am asking is I made a post on monday morning of which I thought was a new week and I see it was added to last week and not this week...

I just want to clarify if sunday nite through monday noon is a dead zone...

I think it doesn't matter if it's a dead zone ....You must post for pleasure. If will get you into the tournament even better.

Well actually thats not true. If you post in the "dead zone" than you are not accumulating points for the next freeroll, therefore it doesn't help you get into the freeroll.

I am all for pleasure posts, and I think thats what all posts should be about, but I would also like to know if there is a "dead zone". If I'm going to post, then I might as well save it for the next day in order to get some points for it.

I'd like to see the points reset Sunday night as well. I suspect that the moderators are busy and Monday is the earliest they can get to it. I post mostly to support the forum because I get a lot out of it and it has improved my play.

it most certaintly matters ...not that I personally am going to try to make the required points every week ..I do post for pleasure however I would hate to think I made the required posts minus 1 or 2 because they came in the dead zone and therefore could not play in the tourny on a sunday nite...

We never intended to have any "dead zones." Its just that all the moderators were quite busy during and after the freeroll that we don't get time to reset it rite after. But to make it clear, the points will be reset Monday mornings.
