I look at it this way, there are less than a dozen regular posters at BBP during the week (so far there are 9 qualified players as of 1:40pm Friday). The rest jump on late or are Titan Freerollers that have seen the Sunday Night Tournie and post like crazy on Saturday and Sunday to meet the quota. Then they will have no idea of How and When the password is posted and we risk them missing the cut. They will be upset if they miss it AND BBP regulars will be upset if the Freeroll doesn't go.

The next thing the Newbies see is that a couple of hours prior to the Freeroll there are usually two registered players, then they start to get antsy.

I believe a minimum of 20 players is required for the Freeroll to kickoff. If people are inclined to share the password, then it is very difficult to stop them anyways. How long does it take to make a phone call or send an email? I say less then 5 minutes. So my conclusion is that 20 minutes is cutting it close for technical reasons (ie. newbies will panic). BUT it's BBP's call and I respect whatever decision is made.

One question I have is what is to prevent Freerollers (like TacticalAce) from registering a new name every week from a different computer (ie. friends, work or library) and making 50 points in posts, getting the password and joining the freeroll?

Is it possible to restrict him from entering the tournie?

Just wondering.

I like the way the passwords go out now. It seems that the passwords haven't leaked too much, but if you send them out any later there would be panic. Also, sending it out sooner it would allow for more password leaks.

I'm with ya that cause on the last tourny it was like 10 min. till before4 i got my PW was kinda stressing a bit lol and if i happen to step out for a min i might miss it

The only solution i see is that we don't allow freeroll hunters to play that come on the last day and get 50 points..But we still need 20 players to get the freeroll tourneys running....

Hey,

I agree having a bunch of peope going crazy posting on Sunday is dumb. Why do you not go back to your early stand and simply deny people admission if they are adding no value to the site.

However, at least the posting requirment is keeping down the number of players.

Moreover, I am excited that after this week my schedule may allow me to play in the buy-in series. I have class on Mondays.
