How can you not love those hands? They'll win you pots most of the time if you can play them correctly. You must realize that no hand is pulletproof. Just play them smartly and they should turn out fine for you.

I can't agree with you more.
Those hands give you plenty of possibilites.
Even more if there are suited.

I think some people just don't know how to play them properly or try to over play them. You have to know that you're beat sometimes and lay a hand like A-K or K-Q down.

A big part of improving your game is laying down big hands. It takes a while to be disciplined enough to do that.

Q anything.... Unless it is another Q.

If I get a Q, it means I lose. No matter what, unless I have a pair.

Right now my least favorite starting hand would have to be none other than the famous

Pocket Jacks just annoy the hell out of me. Unless the hit a set if overcards come on the board they're almost always useless and the other day in a ring game i started to hate them even more.

I'm playing 25. 50. ring with $150 at the table. Get dealt JJ as the big blind. One guy raises it to $5. I call. The flop comes out 9c10cJd. I bet scared of the possible straight and the guy raises me to $10. I re-raise him to $30 and he goes all in which is about $70 more. he flips over AcKc. Turn comes 2s. And then the dreaded river brings a queen to give him a gutshot straight to rob me of all my cash. I stopped playing for the night because I lost alot on that hand and didn;t want to lose all my money from going on tilt.
