I'm BIG soccer fan ! and i play soccer ! this game is great.My favorities teams are Real Madrid and Manchester United.I'm their fan since 1996-1997.The two
teams doesn't performed so well for couples of years but i'm still their fan

I'm a big LiverpoolFC fan, been watchin them since 95. I don't really like the new group brought in by Benitez but they're successful so I can't complain too much.

From my country : FC Poli Unirea Iasi and Dinamo Bucharest.
Levsky will won Uefa only if they will beat Steaua or Rapid Bucharest.
Rapid just beat Hamburg with a categoric 2-0.

I only like to watch international competition since the MLS is garbage. USA just moved up to #5 in the world in the rankings, highest they have ever been. USA has a tough draw in the World Cup, hopefully they can make it to the playoff, or medal round, whatever it is called in soccer.

I remember watching the '02 World Cup. I would stay up until 5 AM to watch the USA play. We did pretty well, we went to the quarterfinals and lost to Germany, the runner-up, 1-0. Good times.

Anyway, I digress. Here is the article about the world rankings.

U.S. moves up to highest FIFA ranking ever

ZURICH, Switzerland -- The U.S. national team improved to fifth in FIFA's monthly rankings -- the highest it's ever been placed by world soccer's governing body.

The Americans, who broke out of a three-way tie for sixth with Spain and Mexico despite dropping a point to 764 in Wednesday's latest poll, also moved ahead of France, which dropped to eighth.

The United States reached the quarterfinals at the 2002 World Cup finals and won the 2005 Gold Cup.

At the other end of the top 20, World Cup host Germany and European champion Greece dropped out.

Greece, which failed to qualify for this year's World Cup, dropped from 19th place to 21st with 704 points. Germany, which reached the final at the last World Cup and will host the next edition, had been tied with the Greeks but dropped to 22nd with 700 points.

Brazil remained at the top of the list with 835 points, two less than it had in February's rankings. The Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Argentina continue to occupy the next three spots.

The Czechs remain a distant second with 789 points, but that's only one more than the Netherlands. The Argentines also lead the United States by only one point.

Spain remained in sixth place, while Mexico dropped to seventh and France to eighth. England stayed ninth and Portugal remained in 10th.

Iran and Croatia were the teams that benefited from the drop at the bottom of the top 20, sharing 19th in place of Greece and Germany.

Also, Palestine moved up 17 places to 121st, its best ever ranking.

I just read this, but it's nothing special because the US won't be able to do anything in the World Cup. In 2010, assuming no impossible grouping, the team will do much better. Right now they are too young and don't seem to have a roster established, Taylor Twellman is one of those on-the-fence guys. Eddie Johnson, Landon, and McBride up top would make a formidable strike, but the midfield and defense are up in the air.

Nobody expected Greece to win Euro 2004 but they did it!

UEFA CUP
Both romanian teams qualified for the quater - finals.
Rapid Bucharest qualified in front of Hamburg and Steaua smashed Betis on their home field with 0-3.
Today they draw the Quater- finals matches
Steaua Bucharest - Rapid Bucharest.
I'm glad that one of these teams will go to the semifinals but sad because they will not make it toghether.
The other teams: Sevilla FC (ESP), FC Zenit St. Petersburg (RUS), FC Basel 1893 (SUI), Miiddlesbrough FC (ENG), PFC Levski Sofia (BUL), FC Schalke 04 (GER).
