| slow playing will get u no where. the only time i slow play is if a flop the nut flush, st8, or fullhouse. any other hand if i try to slow play i end up losing to a runner runner or them catching the miracle card on the river. slow playing is for the birds!! i am done with it!! |

| i wouldn't even slow play straights that much if you get em on the flop. unless it is a rainbow, and you have the highest or close to the highest nut, i would even value bet at the least to guage the other player. i've lost too many times flopping a straight and losing to a flush or a higher straight. |

average hand in poker is Two-pair meaning that a pair is not that great a hand. i would never slow play kings or i would on very rare occasions. given the circumstances, slow playing till the flop is acceptable but you HAVE to bet that turn. u don't want to give another free card. if u get raised, then u fold your kings. if you get called, flat call the river unless your hand improves (hitting another king). on the river, if all you have is a pair, never raise it. just call the bet. even if that ace didn't hit, flatcall. all you have is a pair, your opponent could easily have two pair or a straight on that board and was slowplaying YOU. |

| I mainly just slow play when i have the monster in a hand. I do not prefer to give my oppenent free cards to the flop. So the only time I will slow play is when i am pretty sure i have my opponent beat. So basically if the flop came 8 h K d 2 s. And i had 22, i would slow play since I would have worry about the flush, or the straight , cause no matter what card came on fourth, it wouldnt give the guy a flush or a straight. So I have to have a pretty great hand to slow play. But if it is just three people in the hand, I like to slow play a little more. All depends on how many ppl are in the hand, the blind structure, and the aggressiveness of the other player. When I play with reallly aggressive players I tend to slow play more, and let them do all the betting and when i call, they think im not sure where my hand is at really when i am just waiting to bust them. Slow playing works very well against aggressive players. Believe me lol, people slow play me all the time, cause i am very very very very aggressiveness, just ask rambo. |
