Default Absolute 100K

I played a $2.20 private buy-in at AP tonight, with 32 people. The top 3 won a ticket to a $18+$2 100K Qualifier. I ended up winning the tournment. I'm not sure when this qualifier is - but I'm hoping to do well in it and actually qualify for the 100K itself for a measly $2.20.

Just thought I'd let everyone know - I'll let you know how I do in the qualifier too.

Good job, Nick. Not surprising, you're a very solid player. You usually mix up your play pretty well and keep players offgaurd. Well done, hope you do well in the qualifier.

congratualtions...

I played a qualifier for the fox sports ultimate bet challenge and made it to the finals...
monday came for the finals and I was not on the roster and the lobby said it was closed I could not register....I shot a email to UB's cust support and they answered me 2 hours later. they said I could get in the tourny which turned out to be true but I didnt know that and didnt sit around to find out.

so when I emailed a complaint they responded with I was welcome to try to qualify again... How nice ..they screw up and I can try to qualify again.

I dont usually complain but I think they should have given resolution to this problem by just putting me in the next final.

Very nice Nick. I hope to see you on the top.
If you'll qualify and win then the 100k tournament, you must organize for us a 1k freeroll. Just joking.

Go get them!

The qualifier is tomorrow night, so hopefully I can play some solid poker.

That sucks Hayden - that really seems unfair. I'm sure though, that if you are willing, you could qualify again, and then do well in the next round. I know that you are a solid player and could move on pretty far. Good luck if you try again.

Well, about half an hour into the tournament, and i'm done already.

I had about 1750 in chips, and found JJ in the big blind (BB was 60). There was one caller in late position, but other than that, it folded to me. I raised it up to 240, and the limper called.

The flop came 973 rainbow, and he checked. I led out with a bet of 400, and he min-raised me. After some deliberation, I pushed the rest of my stack, and he called, showing his KK.

Needless to say, I didn't hit my J, and I was done almost as soon as I started. I was very disappointed with the result, but with him limping, I was never putting him on KK. I thought maybe A9 or something and he had flopped top pair.

If I had the chance, I would play the hand the same way - just ran into a better hand, played weakly.

I'm sorry man. I probably played the same way.
Good luck next time.

That sucks, dude. You played that wel,, just got unlucky to come up against a higher over pair, but that's why I don't like jacks, because they are not as good as a lot of people think. Still, with an over pocket pair, you have to push.

Good job, though.

Pocket jackes are a 2 way hand.
There are very risky so i play them very carefully.
