Default AP Freeroll Observation

I took the time the other day to analize some AP Freerolls as follows:

# 1 2000 Players
13 minutes down to 1000 players
35 minutes down to 500 players
1st break down to 296 players

# 2 2000 Players
12 minutes down to 1000 players
34 minutes down to 500 players
1st break down to 309 players

I kept track of a few more and the numbers were in the same range.

I have done very well at AP's freerolls with over $200 in my BR by playing very cautiously early. I now understand why but still don't understand why people get into them if they are going to play crazy. I have used it as a learning tool and although I'm not where I want to be yet, I am getting there.

1000 players in just 12 minutes.
That is because of the sit-outs which are being tacking off after the first level.

I agree, these things are all-in fests. People are just looking for a quick double up, especially in big freerolls so they can finish well. I don't blame them in really big freerolls because you're not paying anything and are just looking to get in good position to cash. You're not going to win by just playing solidly, luck is a big part of the game, also.

they fill up the places with bots and sitouts and if they didnt play a hand before the 1st break they all get thrown out, so after like the first break half the people are gone.

All In fests are the keys to making any final table. I am thankful that everyone online plays retarded like that. Its also bad for me b/c the chip leaders could potentially have over 50% of the chips once its down to a few tables....

Those are some interesting stats. I don't think that Titan is quite that bad. I wish that sitout were thrown after 15 minutes. At Titan, sitouts are generally gone after the first break plus 15 minutes when the blinds are $100/$200.

Sometimes sit-outs enter the money on Titan.
I think the method which AP is holding with tacking sit-outers down after the first level is a very good ideea.

i hate sit outers...maybe you have a good hand and you loose and a sit-outer takes your money..that sucks...tracking out sitouters it's a excelent idea...
