I used to check-raise almost every single time I flopped a good hand when i was more unexperienced. Now i very rarely check raise because I'm playing higher limit games and the players do find it suspicious. I like overbetting to make it look like a bluff and then hoping the other guy ocmes over the top. Check raising for a bluff isn't a bad idea though.

i only use the check raise once in awhile bigger pots when im sure my oppent is bluffin and i just wanna take it down right there and if reraised its an easy laydown to make and contiue playin cards
