Someone who took him a interview told me he is romanian.
In the interview which was taken by a romanian site he is telling that he likes romanian food, he speaks and understand romanian language but he can't write. He's also a big fan of the Romanian soccer team.
Last time he visited Romania he had 10 years and stayed a mounth. He said that he will be back very soon to visit the country.

I think it doesn't matter so much were he was born.
His parents are both romanians and it means that he is also romanian and canadian at the same time.

Not to start any type of arguement or spat over this - because that would just be ridiculous - but just because he has visited Romania, and he likes Romanian food, and speaks some Romanian, doesn't mean that he IS Romanian. My grandparents are German, and I have visited Germany, eaten German food, and can speak a very small amount of German, but I'm Canadian

Also - it says RIGHT at the top of that article that he was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

He definitely has Romanian heritage though

I have never met a pro (not that I know of anyway). I hate to admit it but I am really stupid when it comes to who's who in the world of poker. I probably wouldn't know them if I met them. I know, I need to learn more about the game and who plays it and when things slow down in my life, I will. I promise.

I've never met a pro. Hopefully I'll be playing against a few in the World Series in a couple of years, but for now I settle for watching them play at Full Tilt and chating. The other night I was watching Huck Seed, Junda, Matsou and Dags all going at it along with a bunch of guys I had no idea who they were. It was quite a show.
