I have won a bit of money playing in limit tourneys. It is definatly lucrative if you have the patience. Usually there are a few people on each table that raise raise raise with nothing. If you are lucky to catch a hand you can triple your stack fast and then dominate the table.

This is so true. I think it is important to stay within your limits or you really take the chance of losing it all in even one hand.

I find myself playing limit a lot. Like you said you can win fast and lose fast. Playing low limit is very frustrating as you find so many fishes and donkeys that play and call everything. Playing $3-6 is a good start for me because not many people are careless and throwing away there money.

I prefer limit ring games. !! But so often the poker sites have no action on the limit games. So i think OK i will try PL or NL. But i get murdered by players who just raise way too much for me to call. And it really burns when you see you folded the winning hand !!!

Limit holdem is profitable if you play high stakes limit. If you play the low ring games of limit you're better off trying your luck in blackjack. It's a total waste of time. High stakes limit where blinds are 50/100 100/200 500/1000 is definitely the way to go. You can make up a lot of room with the blinds being so high.

i havent had very good luck with limit. Too many people dont seem to care. They either loose or get lucky. Going in with 4 2 when i have pocket pair k's, and they end up winning when in a no limit game they would have folded. I have just had too many bad beats and i get frustrated alot. I f i wanted to pay to get frustrated i would just go to the movies and watch a childrens matinee.lol.

its just like any other game or limit. if you don't get outdrawn by fish you make money, you high pocket pairs hold up and you hit a draw here and there. if you do all that and you too can win. doesn't matter if your playing limit, no limit or tournments

The limit ring games seem very profitable. On Titan I got ambitious and moved up to $5/10 from $1/2 and within 3 days I made 8 buyins. It was kind of tough though, apparently people will call down 3 bets with A high...

Default limitless poker

i find it difficult to make the transition from the n/l mentality. i see a lot of large pots and broke players. i'm reluctant to play since i've already had a few losses. i have tried a few different approaches too. i will remain an observer only until i can figure out some more strategies for the game.
