Down to heads up, me with a bit over 1/2, and other dude with whats left. Not worth counting if all in. Other dude has been playing very loose all night, playing a LOT of hands. Gotten lucky on a few big ones.

I am dealt - AJs
Since it is heads up, I like it, and am willing to play hard.
Action to him, he raises 3XBB. This is actually somewhat predictable, because he has been playing that way all night. If he would have been playing tight all night, I would have been very cautious about this move.

I call his raise. we see flop a flop of:
K - K - J (no possibility of flush)

I am thinking, I have 2 pair, with ace high - pretty good.

Action to him, he bets the same amount as before, making this a substantial pot. Probably about 1/2 of either of our stacks. He has been doing these kind of loose moves all night,,,,

What is my move? I am wanting to go all in with a strong hand and pick up a big pot,,,

I think that allin is a good move here. Since he has been playing loose all night you can be almost sure that he doesnt have a King. Plus if he does have a King you are already pot commited so theres not much chance of you laying this hand down. He will probaly call your all in with a pocket pair and then you will win about 90% of the time.
But since you said that he was playing lose I might just call here. But only if I am sure that he will fire at the pot again on the turn. If he does then you can go allin and then he might call you with not a lot because he will be so pot commited. And the only real card that can scareda you on the turn is an Q and there would only be 3 Q left in the deck. So I would slow play here.

I dont remember what the blinds were, but I remember thinking, to make this call will spend well over 3/4 of my stack.

I went all in at this point. I thought he was trying to get cute, and bully me early now that it was heads up.

I am happy as a lark... ready to grab to bowl of cash and walk away.

I am stunned. I have AAKKJ, and got beat because he caught the 2 running cards he needed to give him the straight.

I think I played it right, but who knows... thats poker I guess.

Yeah, you played the hand well, you had the best hand throughout and not much else you can do in that situation. All you can do is get all of your chips in the pot with the best hand and hope that it holds up.

Theres not much else you could do there. You could have put in a rereaise preflop, but with that hand he's still calling b/c QJ is a good hand heads up plus he has been playing heads up. Its a tough beat and there is not much else to do, but hope for better luck next time.

yeah I agree with everyone else. It looks like you played the hand well but sometime the cards just dont fall your way.
