Default Titan has no Ethics

I have removed titan from computer.

I emailed support about several issues in a tourny not the least of which was
collusion at the table. they sent stern reprimands....are you kidding.

if thats how they police the site when they catch cheating I think its a clear sign I need to play some where else.

was in a tourny and 5 players at the same table were all speaking to each other in a non english language and when I told then english only they informed me they were not speaking about the cards, well fine you all seem to speak english play by the rules....then late in the game when a player would go allin they would opening state who thought they had the best hand and for others to fold....this is collusion.

it took titan a week to review the tapes and the best they could do was were given stern reprimands and if it happened again their accounts could be in jeopardy.

this was unacceptable to me....when people cheat there is no reprimand they are gone. Titan has proved what I have always suspected its about putting butts in the chairs spending money. How its spent is of no concern of theirs.

And I dont think they are alone in this thinking....the more I play online the less I think I should play on line ...I guess I thought or I would hope online poker sites would try to live by the same rules of ethics that brick and mortar sites do. GUESS NOT !!!!!!

Hey people... i think i have to speak here...

Im a native spanish speaker but i have a decent level of english so I think i can make myself clear in both lenguages

Here's the thing... sometimes i speak with some other people from South America or Spain in Spanish, but i never cheat, i also try to involve the other people into the conversation

So, i dont think the problem is that people speaks other lenguages... what if they can't speak in english and they want to make friends say... one person from Colombia (like me) and another from say... Argentina or Chile or even a Colombian living in the U.S (that happened to me once there in titan)

But if the people you are talking about were cheating, i hope titan ban them

Best regards

I was in a PokerStars room with a couple of people who started speaking Norwegian. According to their avatars, they were actually in different countries. From the context in which they started speaking, and from the linguistics I know, I could pick out some of the words. They were clearly (to me, anyway) not cheating, just pleased to find someone else who spoke the same tongue.

However, a guy in the room went ballistic on them, demanding they speak English only and accusing them of cheating. They complied, but his rancor caused tension at the table from that point on, because a couple of us could tell they were just making small talk.

I think it's fine if people use other languages, but I also think it's important that any requests for cheating investigation be honored (just as if two English speakers appeared to be colluding.)

Poker sites make money hand over fist. They can afford to outsource a few translations in the interest of keeping the playing field level, I think. (Play money games would be an exception to investigation, unless the game involves a prize with real value, like cash or a real money tournament seat.)

Of course, if the rules of a tourney clearly state "English only," that should be respected. And, in another tourney where the rules state "French only," or "Spanish only," that should be respected as well.

I had the experience recently during the forum challenge on Titan of running into several players at the same tabel who were from a Portuguese forum. They were speaking Portuguese, and I could tell they were talking about the cards. I asked for English only, and one of them told me "This is a forum challenge, and we're a Portuguese forum, so we can speak Portuguese." They continued to do so. One of them took me out soon after. I can't say for a fact that there was collusion, but it was pretty shady.

I think if no one at the table objects, and it's clear that it's small talk, there's no harm done. But if any player asks for them to abide by the rules, and they refuse, I think that shows a bad intention.
