You should find a local bar game or tournament to play in. It's quite the experience, if you can stand the smoke.

as long is on internet everything is posible but if you are afraid dont play

I was playing against cheating players, just online.
In live games never happened to me. I play only with my friends.
You can spot players wich make collusion very easy. They don't play against eachother until the end of the hand.
To spot them you must stay a while at the table. Also it is probably that they will not speak to eachother during the game.
But the best thing is to get out from the table if you think that they colaborate and if you have proves speack with the site support and tell them about what happened.

I have known some people to play SNG's. With 3 of them on one table they can dominate. They use AIM to talk and tell thier hands, so they can build pots against the other players and know who should win. I do not like this at all. If you cant win on your own, you shouldnt bother playing.

This I believe is called colaberation(i hope im not dragging something up that someone else has said) and its where 2 ppl sit down at a table and are basiclly chatting on MSN or w/e and letting eachother know their hands. They sit so that their either beside eachother or at opposit ends of the table to they can drag the most money into the pot from people. Poker sites HATE this and its taken every seriously. It usually happens at ring game tables, so you just have to watch if theres alot of rasing, but one folds b4 the showdown. I personally dont believe that theres another way to cheat online, other than those poker bots, and speaking of those has anyone even seen one? I mean an advertisement for a bot to play for you online?>??

They just passed an ordinance in Denver that all restaurants and bars are now non-smoking. It will be interesting to see who complies and who doesn't. It will be nice to be able to go into a bar and not have to deal with all the smoke (or at least not as much.)

Right on, Denver! Philadelphia is considering that sort of legislation, but so far not passing it. I enjoyed playing in the local bars, but I finally just couldn't stand the smoke. I think I was the only nonsmoker ever in attendance. And the guy who ran the tournaments also sold cigars during them. Talk about stink! The clothes I wore had to go immediately into the wash. After I got home, that is...

I dont think there can be online cheating except when 2 players are on the phone and playing at the same table. Thats the only way I think they can have an unfair advantage. I've never experienced cheating in live games so I still have yet to see it.

It may seem that there is cheating going on but there shouldn't be. I believe i have taken the same bad beats as people have taken them through live poker. Its so frustrating and it make you wonder but i don't think so. As far as playing on two computers. The site catches screen shots and ip adresses so if both computers win then they do not get any money. I believe its on terms and conditions if anybody ever read that when downloading the software.
