Question Phil Hellmuth on Celebrity Poker Showdown

What do you think of Phil Hellmuth as the poker pro on CPS? I liked Gordon better. He was a better foil for the Dave Foley. I just don't find him as engaging.

I think he needs a haircut.

I've only watched one episode so far, and I wasn't really impressed. He seemed really stiff, like he was watching what he said, etc.

Besides, no one can replace Phil Gordon...

I keep trying to have an open mind about him. Knowing his behavior from tournaments, though, it's hard not to think of that while watching CPS.
With all the personable poker players, I just can't help but wonder why they chose him...

Wow, I totally did NOT see this post. Sorry BBP for making a duplicate. But it seems like you already found it and deleted it. Thanks.

YEa, I like Hellmuth better. WHy? Not sure. Probably just b/c he's more popular. He doesnt really get to improv much. i think he's just reading cards most of the time. I like that show though. I love to see how BAD the celebrities are at poker.!! HAHA.

I like Hellmuth better, he seems to go more depth with the poker aspect of the show. Of course he doesnt have the same kind of chemistry with Foley but I think that will come once they do more shows together.

I have yet to see the Celebrity Poker show with Phil Hellmuth co-hosting. I did really enjoy it with Phil Gordon though, so I'm a little skeptical. Especially considering the fact that I can't STAND Phil Hellmuth.

Maybe he will be different, and less of an a$$hole when he is simply watching people playing poker, instead of playing it himself.

Needless to say though, I was surprised, and slightly disappointed when I heard that Hellmuth would be the one replacing Gordon. I guess they wanted to keep the Phil namesake going I will definitely give him a chance though. I'll watch the show if I see it's on TV. Does anyone know when it airs?

I am actually watching the show as I came across this post. LOL.

Does anyone know if this is a permanent change or just for the New Orleans series? I really like Phil Hellmuth, but he is not good on this show. Gordon was sooooo much better. Hellmuth is somewhat annoying. He appears to always be to aware of the camera, has a very fake smile, and for some reason, looks like he just woke up (think it is the hair).

Gordon, in my opinion, was just more genuine in his commentary and interaction with Foley. He had a sort of innocence that Foley used to great humorous effect at times.
