ESPN has announced that this year's television coverage of the WSOP will begin airing much sooner than in years past - no more waiting for months. This year the WSOP broadcasts will start August 22nd, and the Main Event is expected to wrap up on the 12th.

Coverage of the WSOPC events begin on July 18th. The Main Event coverage begins August 22nd, with two episodes running a night, weekly, until September 26th.

The prelim WSOP events will be begin airing on October 3rd.

ESPN will also be airing the final table of the main event LIVE, using a pay-per-view model. (Contact your local cable/satellite provider for detail - the ESPN pay per view site doesn't offer much info).

The first event starts today but its only the employee event. The real events start tomorrow (June 27th) with the $1500 NLHE.

If you look on the site cardplayer.com they have a nice section of all the events and updated chip counts.

Being up here in the Great White North, I am unable to get ESPN or any of the ESPN channels, as much as I'd like to. I like ESPN better than the Canadian sports station (ESPN.com is my homepage). But I digress...

I was just wondering if you (Texas ) knew if it was airing at the same time on any Canadian stations. Or any American stations that you could get on Bell ExpressVu.

If not, that's cool, I'll just keep my eyes open for it, because I would really like to watch some of it.

I watched the 2006 New Orleans circuit event that aired this past week. Was this the first one that has aired. Also, I would assume that the schedule is going to be the same as last year, two new episodes each Tuesday (with a million replays after). Can someone please confirm this?
