Default Any one know WSOP is a stock traded on nyse?

I am a little involved in stocks and found wsop has its own publicly traded stock. I was looking for internet poker sites to buy thinking they would be a cash cow with the growing popularity.... i was rong. The stock as been on the down side for the last few months
Just though it was an intersting fact.

Just judging by a few friends that played online poker in the last two years, most have greatly reduced their playing time (including myself) and some have stopped. It's very time consuming and for some expensive. The number of the sign-up incentives have dropped significantly and even Party Poker made their Reload Bonuses more difficult to collect. I think the market is saturated and the "Side Games" are ripping off the players IMO. They are a quick profit for the site, but they lose players in the long run.

BBP or Texas can confirm that for you. My understanding is that the site gives Freeroll money to Forums to build a regular player base. It's the greatest thing since Wet T-Shirt Contests in my mind. Titan seems to have the best (or most) Freerolls and they are very Forum friendly. It really shows you how profitable / competitive these online sites are.

I laugh now when I see those Prima Freerolls at 8am ET. $200 with 5000 entrants. The odds of making the money (whopping $1.40) are next to nil.
The same goes for the Party Poker Freerolls. It takes about 5-6 hours to make it to the money in their 1000+ person Freerolls. Not for me no mo'.

Actually it depends. Most times the poker site sponsors the freerolls. But if you want to host a bigger freeroll and the poker site belives the turnout will be less, the money has to come from your pocket (the forum).

Red face agreeing

I agree with the poker player ready to drop from playing the online poker sites have put to much into making it harder to play . The best sites are the ones that let you start from nothing and work your way up to something . at least giving you a chance to hone your skills because freeroll are not easy in no manner the first hour is all about all-ins and the second is all about getting the sitters out of the tables . I find it quite annoying when someone joins a freeroll only to sit and not play what is the point

TheGuzette i win again
