Default Was I a Donkey?

I was playing in a tournament last night, (which I won) when I was dealt A9 diamond, I was table leader, I called the Blind of 100. BB checks, flop comes 38J with 2 diamonds, BB bets 200 I call. turn is 7 H. Big bets 300 so I call again, I have over 25k in chips, river is 6 Diamond, I make my flush, he bets 1500, I raise him all in, he calls with a pair of 8's. Before he leaves the table he rants about what a donk I am . Does anyone think I should have folded this hand at any time? I had nut flush draw and the table dominated.

How much did the other guy have. You didnt have the pot odds to make your flush but if you where pretty sure you could get alot of chips out of the guy and he was pretty deep then you had the implied odds to make the call.

Since you were the chip leader I would have raised him on the flop to try to take the pot right there, and if he called you still have your dimond draw.

Yet another example of someone who blames the other person instead of looking to see what he might have done better. They're all over the place, and we should - in a way - be glad they externalize; if they looked for their own contribution to their results, they might actually improve their games. And we certainly don't want them to do that.

As for acting like a jerk, it's unfortunate that some people are lame enough to think it's okay to do so while hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.

If you don't know then you must be one (lol). Just Kidding, Donkey = Poor Player. I would have done the same in your position, no doubt. He should have thought twice when the flush hit the board. He was probably frustrated about losing with trips.

You are definitely not the donkey Frankie. That was just poorly played on his part, and he is obviously one of many sore losers that play on the internet today. You just have to shake off comments like that, and be content with the fact that you took all of his chips from him

I would have played it the exact same way (not that that necessarily means anything..... )

u played definately a good game
if he calls u donkey then he should be 10xdonkey
it is a good game ,,waiting untill u got ur cards,,
he should have gone all in at the begining itself, to make u fold
i dont see any thing wrong in ur game

You were in the SB? and everyone folded to you, and you only called? I wouldve raised it pre-flop. If he were to call, and still bet the flop, you'd have a better idea of what he has. I most likely wouldve chased the flush myself. You are the chip leaader, and 300 chip bets are mere pennies compared to your stack size. Call down and see if you can't knock out another player. Good Job! You are not a donk.
