Practice counting cards wiht a standard deck flipping them over one at a time.

Boils down to good cards, bad cards and neutral cards. The deck is in your favor when there are more aces and face cards as opposed to little cards.

2,3,4,5,6 = little cards total of 20 per deck
7,8,9 are neutral cards 12 per deck
10,j,q,k,a are good cards also 20 per deck

so you do a running count starting at 0..for each little card go +1, for each big card its -1, and for neutral cards no change..so for example if you get to +10...that is very good for you becuase there are 10 more face cards than little cards in the deck and you start increasing your bets...if you are at -10..bet minium...

FInd a SLOW dealer, with only a few ppl at the table..the less decks the more effective...when in vegas this is easy to find this situtation....up here in INdiana at our casinos..I cannot keep up with the 6 decks and the Full seats at every single table..it gets hard trying to keep up with a fast dealer, 6 decks, and seven players..but in VEGAS baby..cha=ching!!!! Good lcuk hun..hope this was easy to understand....its so much easier to explain with a deck of cards and in person

i think that counting cards are impoible...i think in vegas you don;t have a chance....but you can try

I was watching The Travel Channel and they showed this as #2 as the best way to win in vegas. They had a professional count cards and he had won quite some money. I think it really works but he said that it takes months and years to master it.

They catch on and ask you to leave the casino. If you ever get a chance watching the history channel serires on breaking vegas they had a great episode about the card counting team from MIT. They won quite a bit of money i believe 4 million IIRC, though i could be mistaken.

I saw the same show with the "Nerds" from MIT playing High Stakes BJ in Vegas almost every weekend. They played and won as a team, but were eventually barred from the casinos.

My Brother used to use a HP calculator to track all the cards in the 6 decks while playing in Canada. BUT since the stakes at that time were $2-$100, there was not enough spread to play properly. Plus his bankroll was also only a few hundred and he did not have the most self-discipline. Calculators were legal since the games were set up by the province for Sports Charities. It was kind of neat to increase our bets and watch the 10's roll out of the deck.

honestly i cannot keep up myself with 8 decks and a full table..but in vegas where you can easily find an empty table for yourself and 2 deck shoes..you control the speed of the game..take your time and play slowly..and since you are working by yourself, as long as you can count without your lips moving..there is no way to get caught AND it is very manageble and easy with a little practice....

just don't have the patiene for blackjack anyhow.
