Does anyone play draw poker nowadays?
I can find very little info on the web about it and few poker rooms where you can play it.

I only play it on machines. However, Pogo.com does have a five card draw poker game. It's not bad. Of course, you bet with Pogo tokens, not money.

I think the reason that no one plays draw poker is because it is not as much of an action game because it only has two rounds of betting while holdem games have 4 and stud games have 5.

Think you could be right about the betting! I like it because it is quite fast. Each hand is fairly short,so if you play tight and fold a lot, you dont have too long to wait until you get a hand you can play!!

you can play 5-card poker on WassPoker room.. 5-card poker is very popular here, you can find it in every casino.. i think 1% of gamblers here knows the rules of hold'em (but everybody is telling that "rounders" is great film, but they don't know how he won last hand)

i don't like 5-card.. for me there is no skill there, it is only "balls" game.. it is betting game, and bigger bankroll is always in advantage! what skill you need to have there to play it online? you are not sitting next to player, you can't read him, for ex. you are changing one card, get the str8, you can lose to a bigger str8, flush, full-house, quads, str8 flush, royal..!? and what is the good hand there - except royal flush (but he can have his royal too)?

grew up on this game and passed it on to both my boys. had never heard of texas hold em or i definately would of taught them before turning them loose in this world. i got bored with draw poker after awhile playing against the computer programs characters all the time. thank god hold em finally reached me and i was renewed with poker fever all over again. so farewell draw poker i will never play you again.
