Default Congress Passes Online Poker Bill

Well it looks like Congress passed a bill to make Online Poker illegal and now the Senate will address the bill. Betting on horses, lottery and bingo are still legal, but Poker was targeted. What a bunch of crap. The bill will be useless and unenforceable.

I wonder if the B&M (brick and mortar) casinos have been losing business since the explosion of Online Poker three years ago. I know that I have cut my visits down by at least 75% (3 or 4 times a year to once/year). My guess is that they are funding and pushing the bill. Any thoughts?

I believe that England is doing the right thing by keeping it legal. Unfortunately they will try to tax the online poker, therefore less money back to you and me.

Oh, don't even get me started about how what big business wants big business gets from this administration. I'm so fed up with the religious right caring more about what sins I may be committing than if I have health care coverage.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Red face well my husband is happy

My hubby cant thank them enough for this. I told him if I cant play then I will have to resort to other tactics to play poker . I play poker to relieve myself from my everyday stress like chours that i do for him . And now I told him I will have to go to AC and relieve my stress so that means he will have to do all thing for himself and take care of the kids , do the laundry, do dishes, fix his own dinner, you know what he said . " I am going to write my congressman and tell him to make sure maryland is not included in this ban LOL. I told him that I thought that would be a great idea and to include the reasons why.

Default I believe

that it might be a bit more of a problem than you think, hopefully it doesnt go through I have heard they have made it illegal in Washington state already, and they are tracking who continues to play. As far as the business in live brink and mortar casinos is at an alltime high at the ones wear I live in Los Angeles, and the online boom has served as a help to the live business as people learn how to play online first before playing live.
