| Interesting in a few ways. One is that over 140 people entered - a few got in through satellites, but the large majority plunked down the $50k. Obviously, the field contained a lot of well-known names, and the final table was stacked - Chip Reese who won, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, etc. Because of the massive starting chip stacks plus all the games being limit, the first day eliminated only about 15 people, so the second day to get down to the final table took about 19 hours. Grueling. Then the final table took almost as long, with heads-up lasting over 7 hours even though they had switched to NLH. |
