I hear you loud and clear, just in the few months I've played, so many bad beats in different pokersites it's statistically impossible. I think I'm taking a few days off myself, even if I've only played freerolls so far, but my skills don't really seem to be growing as much as I think they could be in a real poker table.

Still, on to new challenges! Have a gr8 rest of the summer!

Even freerolling seems 2 get so frustrating, as I'm not losing but not winning either. It was that damn 15K freeroll just before yesterday's BBP freeroll, that really broke the camel's back. Was holding on with some 2000 chips until I was about 600th or so. And at least 3 bad beats with AA, AK and can't remember what before that.

Top 300 would've been paid, so really got bummed as it would've been a gr8 chance to build up a bankroll and finally playin' "for real".

Sorry, this came a real sob story

Keep in mind that in online poker there are distinct differences as the stakes increase. In freerolls there are going to be a lot of bad beats for the simple reason that there are going to be a lot of chasers because chasing is funand if you don't really lose any money why not have fun.
It is more about the nature of the game than anything else like the decks being juiced or fixed.
Try this experiment yourself and you will see the results. Try to do it for fifty or so hands and record the results.
Deal out the cards to 10 imaginary players and have them all stay in the hands until the end and record the winning hands. So many st8s, so many flushes, so many full houses, etc. Also mark how many are won on a bad beat.
When you compare this to the same number of hands in an online freeroll you will probably get similar results.
If you play in higher stakes games a lot of the chasers will disappear and the game will play similar to live play.
In order to fairly compare live versus online you have to compare the same stakes. You can't compare a freerolll to a $50 buyin tourney. If you want to compare try playing a $50 buyin game and see if it is similar to the live tourney. You may be surprised.

Well, aren't we all

And fubarcdn, so true, everything u said. It's the fact that one sin't really losing anything playing the freerolls.

That doesn't get me so down, if I lose to a bad beat, just that I don't seem 2 win so many times with them myself (Not sayin' I chase them that often, but sometimes I just go with the flow if it's cheap enough with a piece of s**t hand)

Who wouldn't? Everyone gets that feeling sometimes...right?

Thats great

As for ibanez, poker is all about making the right decisions based on the information you have so you should think of internet as a good way to inhance your decsion making process since there are some differences from live you have to adjust to those differents. So if you keep getting sucked out on you should find away to play so that doesnt happen as much.
