I personally don't sitout (unless nature calls), but I understand it's usefulness as an online strategy. I've been knocked out at the beginning of tournies with premium hands by garbage and at the Bubble (again with premium hands). I've played in tournies where the entire table was sitting out, so you keep hitting the Raise button until they are all blinded out.

I always try to knockout a sitout so that they do not get into the money. Part of Poker is the Mind Games, so letting sitters throw you off your game makes no sense to me. My main point: Try to make alliances to blind out the Sitter(s), then continue with the tournie.

Default Disagree

Drago, I disagree with you. The only excuse for sitting out that I accept is if you were not there in time for the tournament. Otherwise, sitting out is a way to escape playing, a cowards option in my opinion. Sitting out as a strategy is not, to me, a strategy but an escape
