Default worst beat

my worst beat was on a hand in which i had pocket queens....unknown at the time the player to my left had pocket kings, to my right the player had jack 10 of hearts.....after a large raise preflop...the flop was dropped K, Q, 8...the king of hearts and the queen of hearts and the eight of hearts....i flopped trip queens, my friend flopped trip kings, and the other player flopped a flush....after a 2nd round of betting the turn card came out K...i made a full boat....my friend made quad kings and my other friend kept his King high flush.....after a final round of betting and the majority of my chips in the pot the river was a queen.....i was ecstatic....but tried to play it smooth by raising only a little...both the other players came over the top so i pushed all in...the cards were flipped and i saw i lost to the quad kings....tough luck

Not to much you can do about that. But how is that a bad beat? lol. If your referring to a set beating out a flush, that isnt really that bad of a beat. If you had turned quads and then he rivered even bigger quads than by all means . But still even with that flop that is just wow. I saw almost the same similar thing happen on Pokerstars, 2 people well all in KK vs JJ and flop hits 4 K J, they were like wow, wish i saw you guys trying to play this on the flop. Was funny to see

To the End!

it must really hurt losing with quads... never happen to me..
but no way someone would anytime fold quads.. you had 2nd hand on that board.. the only hand that could beat you was KK - and he had it..

but i saw a more interesting situation on titan, in one mtt tourney, on my table.. i was like WOW - is that possible? .. i don't know if i wrote it somewhere, i forgot to capture this.. this was a really awesome ..

delaer, sb and bb... everyone folded.. dealer raised one BB and got called from both.. flop was .. delaer betted minimum got called from both.. turn was , river was ... all three players moved at the end of showdown..
i don't really remember if ACE was on river or on turn, but it doesn't matter
the point is.. bb wons that pot.. but: delaer shows .. , SB shows
BB had .. he crashed two quads with STR8 flush.. i was really shocked..
what is the point here? can anyone folded his hand here? does delaer played it good with AA on button - should he raise more?! did anyone played bad on flop.. i mean - when you have ACE FULL OF FOURS, and 4 OF A KIND on a flop, you're 99% sure that you have nuts till the showdown and you're tring to trap someone into that pot! i really don't have an answer, but i think sometimes, you can't win even with monster hands..

That was an amazing showdown. The only thing I can think might have been played differently was that the 4s player *might* have thought twice about going all in. He might have been worried about the Ace quads, but certainly was not expecting a straight flush.

One of the sites (PokerStars, maybe?) has a bad beat bonus going. If you are all-in in a ring game with 4 kings and get beat by aces, a straight flush, or a royal, they will pay you something like $250 for the bad beat.

Something similar happened to me awhile back. 2 people ended up with monster hands, and my suited 84 hit a straight flush. The unfortunate thing was, I threw the 84 pre-flop... ug.

i think titan gives the bonus too, but i think there are rules of getting the bad beat bonus.. (as i remember it is called bad beat of the day) - and every they they are choosing the worst bad beat, at least you need to lose by quad kings, and it needs to be happened on the higher cash games (i red that thread on titan site 2-3 months ago, so don't believe me 100%) .. and i'm sure that ammount is not that big.. (and 100% sure that you would lose 5-50 times more with that losing nut-hand)

That sounds like what I read ... I guess it was Titan where I read it. Thanks for the clarification.

This is by far the craziest beat I've ever seen. the chances of that happening must be astronomical...

Also, prima network bad beat tables you gotta lose 4 kind to a better 4 kind, also if you're at a table where this happens, and you're not sitting out, they'll give you a couple hundred if you look up how to claim it.

cheers
