Default Landis

Well Landis second urine test came back positive for high testotsterone levels. Is there really any doubt that this guy cheated. I myself am an American but there is no question that he cheated. How can you go from one day barely being able to finish the leg to the very next day blowing away your competitors by 8 minutes. oh and this just happened to be the day that the urine samples were taken. yeah somebody shot himself up a little bit with some testosterone that morning. dont let us forget the fact that he also needed hip surgery the entire race. i'm sorry but nobody can do what he did with a bad hip and not be taking anything.

I agree that sports is really tainted by steroids and I've lost interest in most. It's a real turnoff when guys deny, deny, deny, then are tested positive (twice) and they still deny. A two year suspension is too lenient. Five might make them thinks twice and maybe they'll question even ask their trainer "What's that stuff you're injecting me with ??".
Hey, it's all about Fame and Fortune.

The only athlete that I respect is Hulk Hogan, because he admits to taking steroids and at one time had the Biggest Arms in the Universe (lol).

i think there is no sportsman in the world in individual sports (besides holdem players - you don't need steroids there) who is not using steroids.. the only questions is how to find out they are using them ..

i think of Athletics, Body Building, NFL, Basketball, Swimming, etc..
and, is there anti-doping control in NFL and NBA ?

and, sorry i don't know who the Landis guy is ..

As long as athletes have competed, they've looked for the edge. I think the waypro sports players are now abusing drugs is just the latest technology for this. I think any one who supports them by buying overpriced tickets to games or events so these guys can make their multimillion dollars is only adding fuel to the fire.

But I'm no fan of pro sports in general. In fact, I wish the Olympics were still strictly an amateur event, where people competed because of the love of their sport, instead of the ca-ching of endorsement deals.

I think that anything over $20 a seat is overpriced. Not to mention $7 beers, $5 hot dogs and natchos. That goes also for concert tickets. The problem with an amateur-only olympics is that the atheletes in communist countries are basically pros with cushy side "jobs" and can claim an amateur status.

From $50 (nosebleeds) - $300 per ticket for the Houston Texans (2W-14L in 2005). Plus about $20 for parking.
