Great turnout today. Had 8 players...Im not sure how the beginning was as i was concentrating on another tourney.. But the results were as follows:

1. Newalf...8 points
2. Acorn...4.8 points
3. dovla...3.2 points

dolva has been doing pretty good lately..finishing in the money in almost every game he plays..Today it was a little rough on him....He had top pair and i had middle pair on the flop..i put him allin and he called..luckily i caught another pair..making it 2 pairs and he's out..Acorn tried his heart out raising with 57, 37 etc..kinda hands to build his stack..unfortuantely for him i was catching good hands and he finished 2nd..
And Thinker as always called my all-in and lost her trips against my full house on the flop..

good game BBP! I'm just happy that thinkerbell didnt gain anything! No offense, thinker, but seriously, back off my lead, your scaring me. haha.

it was really good game.. 8 people, almost a full table
started really good, made a stack and become a chip leader..

acorn then started big raising every hand - and i only called with drawing hands (like KQ or AK) and hit nothing then folded on big bets.. my biggest mistake was when i got my set (44) i reraised his 900 bet on flop with no possible dangers (he had 1200 chips left) and he folded - i should slow play that.. then he beat me with 610 over my KQs and i lost much of my stack..

last hand i was shortstacked, alf had the odds on flop and called my move with medium pair, and got 2nd pair.. it was a great game, if we can only have every game 7-8 people it would be great (or 2 table game)..

Nice one BBP! I lost most of my chips early when i flopped trips (10s) and slow played them against dolva who hit top pair (kings). Then on the turn the board paired and I had the boat and was set to rake in a big pot so again I slow played it. Then the river comes a King. Somehow the Kings always manage to get me. I knew Dolva has just made a bigger boat, but I can't throw away the hand so I call away another 400 bucks and he shows his boat.

After that I was short stacked and made a stupid all in move with a gutshot draw but I figured I had two overs so I had plenty of outs. That was until Thinker turned over trip 7s and I didnt hit my str8t plus thinker made a boat anyway so I was done. Quick and easy game for me.

I don't think slow playing the boat was a bad move, but calling the other 400 when I knew he had a bigger boat was stupid. The pot odds were screaming for me to call, but I should have known thats why he bet that much. Then I would have still had close to 1000 in chips and I could have had a fighting chance. Then I might have not made such a stupid move with the gutshot draw. I think I'm going to have to take the advice I gave thinker and sit some games out and do some reading and get ready for season 3.

track, you shouldn't loose hope so soon..there's still 3 games to go and you aren't very far from the money..as for reading, i'd suggest you to look over at the tips and strategy articles at BBP. There's some really nice tournament advice.

One other thing that Acorn pointed out was the blinds structure. They go up very quickly...to a point where you basically have to go all-in every other hand...This isn't quality poker..We'll take care of that in Season 3.

Yes, I notice it too, when you get down to 3-4 handed, usually, its close to an hour into the game. By that time, blinds are pretty large in comparison to how many chips are on the table. SO yea, I'm glad to hear that this issue will be attended to.

yeah, this is a good tourney, everybody playing tight so it lasts minimum for 1 hour.. after one hour blinds become huge, and short stack there with 2-3 bullying can become a big stack.

This is an advantage to agressive players, so if you don't hit your hands on flop and you called a 3-4 bb raise on that blinds (for example AK, and i do not like to move or re-raise with AK - it is just a draw!) you're going to be busted really soon!
i think for the next season we can double the time of blinds raising! maybe the tourneys will last longer, but that will be really quallity games!

Well, better take your heart medication, because I intend to win all the remaining games. You'd be comfortable with second place, right?
