Default Pokerstars Depositing

Well I live in Hong Kong so most of the credit card options are gonna be for me and so after a lot of questioning I decided to make my first deposit (ever in an online poker room) via Western Union. On the WU website it says that transfering money for purposes of gambling is illegal. That means that I have to send my money to someone in Coasta Rica that works for pokerstars and they receive as a private person. So as far as I'm concerned I could just have some random person run away with my money.

Of course I am new to this so you guys probably think I am retarted but I can't help but be skeptical. Can anyone assure me of the safety in giving them money in this manner?

Also since the WU cashout fees are so large I only plan to make withdrawals once in a long while. Is there anything I need to know about pokerstars?

EDIT: I also read this other thread about pokerstars being for sale. So I mean if it gets sold soon they might remove the WU cashout option and that would be my only means of withdrawal. I would be in a lot of trouble if I have up my bankroll in my account and then suddenly be told I can't withdrawl it anymore wouldn't it. I know partypoker.com and etc don't offer WU transfers/cashouts.

Thanks,
Brandon

Does NeTeller not work for international users?

Or you can try Firepay.com. They set up a internet credit card that acts like a money transferring service. You give them your bank account number, and they can authorize its yours, and after that, you can make deposits and withdrawls straight from your bank account without any hassle.

Well actually I don't have a credit card thats the thing. I don't think Firepay works with Hong Kong bank accounts so WU is my only option.

So can anyone address any of my pokerstars concerns?

Thanks,
Brandon

well its kinda like a credit card, but not really. its just an account online that you can add funds to. and then from there you and deposit. I would look into it. And if it doesnt work, then the next best option would be getting Neteller.

In my opinion, PokerStars is trustworthy and an excellent site. I have never had any trouble with them over the last year that I have played there, and their customer service is excellent.
