Here's a proposal..

We will have 12 $100 freeroll events (scheduled every Sunday at 21:00 EST), and 12 $5 buy-in events (scheduled every Saturday at 15:00 EST).
The winnings in the freerolls + 3*(the winnings in buy-ins) will determine your points.

So for example you win $10 in the first freeroll, and 5 points in the buy-in, your overall points will be 10+(3*5) = 25 points.

Once the 24 events (12 freerolls, 12 buy-ins) are finished, there will be a “final battle” among the top 10 contestants with $100 added. The points for the final battle will be 3*the winnings. So, if you win $20, you will get 60 points.

The top 3 will be rewarded cash prizes.
First prize gets $250 in cash
Second place gets $125 in cash
Third place gets $75.

Additional ways to get points:

1. Each week a member with the highest number of points in the forum gained by posting will get an additional 5 points.
2. Bounty points: 5 points for knocking the moderators (NewAlf, and Lytspeed) in any of the 16 games.
3. Win 2 consecutive games in a row and the bounty’s on you. Whoever knows you out in the 3rd game gets an additional 5 points.

The tournaments will take place at Titan Poker and start with 3000 in chips. The blinds will advance much slower than in the past.

Additions/Changes:

1. The $5 buy-in events scheduled for Saturdays will be changed to Wednesdays at 21:00 EST.
2. 5 bonus points will be awarded to the winner in 2 consecutive events.

Sounds like a plan to me, the only thing that worries me is that the person who post the most has to make quaitly post so we dont get some crazy post like we did last time.

Agreed. Of course, keeping an eye on that will be my responsibility, as well as BBP's. Hopefully we can keep on top of it.

I love the idea just the saturday time is NOOOOOO good weekends are the only time i have to do stuff and i cant bum around the house wating till 3 to play the league. I think most people in the east and west coast will also be bussy at that time.
Mabey a weekday game at a 20 or 21:00 strat time? or atleats a 21:00 start time on saturday but i might still only make 1 or 2 of those.

Right on Gooder! I have enough trouble trying to make a Sunday night game. Saturday afternoon games would be next to impossible for me. I'd much perfer a weekday game.

Agree with Acorn on the posting bonuses.

Lastly how come no bonus for winning 2 games in a row. Instead you have a bounty on your head which is less pts you can get and more points for the other players to get. I feel like you should get some reward for winning 2 in a row.

i think it is very good proposal..

the only things that worry me is about post bonus points - people will post everything and everywhere just to get that additional 5 points..

and saturday night .. it's the time for party, so i'm sure that we will not have all players there (and if it is late as 1-2pm here.. i think i'll play only 30% of games

track, i totally forgot about giving bonus points for consecutive wins. I've updated the proposal with this change. Also, since Saturday doesn't suit to a lot of members, we'll change the $5 buyin events to Wednesday instead.

And as Lyt said, we'll do our best to get rid of any junk posts that don't contribute to the forum.

Wow, it's pretty complicated. I'm usually a fan of the keep it simple school of thought. I'd like to recommend (and maybe I'm the only one who feels this way) that the buy-in games and the league not be tied together. The point system is so complicated that I think it might be a little intimidating to some players. And some players may not be interested in having a bigger buy in to play.

Here's what I think:

Two or three league games a week, with the same point system as before. I agree with those who've said they prefer a weeknight rather than a Saturday afternoon. (Monday, Thursday, Sunday?) Perhaps the starting times could vary, to try to accommocate those in different time zones. Say, one at 8:00, one at 9:00, one at 10:00 or 11:00. I think this would enable the most people to have a fair chance at playing enough games to be in the top three.

I would really enjoy the $5 buy in game, but see it as a separate entity unto itself. What about setting a time for it so people who'd like to participate can plan to attend? Maybe that could be a Friday or Saturday night game?

i think that mixing points from freeroll and buy-in events is good idea. it will encourage more players to play into the league games..

and i also agree that we can have more weekly buy-in events than one! (2-3 per week would be great)
