| i didn't know that winnings on wsop are taxed..  i asked couple of people and they said me that those winnings are with tax. so 5000000 is not 5000000 - it is about 3000000 ?

| Yeah, with those big winnings you can subtract about 40% for the taxman and the rest is yours. So with a $5M win, Uncle Sam gets $2M and you would get $3 (unless you can come up with a lot of tax deductions in a hurry). |

| eeh.. so if i pay buy-in 10000$ for wsop, and i finish in place in which i get 10000$ they don't give me back my buy-in - i think i'm short about 4 grands, by my calculations ?

| I have seen Moneymaker recently at a table with the BIG BOYS and he is definately out-classed/out-played. I wonder how many other one-hit wonders from the past are now broke has-beens.?? The WPT or poker news don,t want you to hear about the players that have lost there fortunes. ?? |

| yeah.. but i think moneymaker earned good ammount by those commercials, so he don't need to win and be lucky anymore.

| by ads you mean those Moneymaker millionaire?  ahaahaha i laughed at those commercials. as much as you say he makes money from commercials, you have to realze that all his commercials are based on his one time wonder win, and without it he would have been nothing. he doesn't have any other big results to back himself up now |
