But you also have to realize that he doesnt play as many tournaments as some other big name players, he does more on the buisness side of poker with adds and stuff

I still wouldn't want to be heads up with him. I don't care what anyone says, you have to know something about poker to do as well as he has done, and the same goes for Jamie Gold.

i posted this in wrong thread, so here is my opinion again..

chris moneymaker.. that's the dream of all of us, transfering last 40$ from bankroll to 2.5 million.. i didn't watched that satellite to wsop.. maybe he played it brilliantly! but, what would happen if someone made his gutshot move crashing his AA set on flop ? or maybe chris made gutshot with his all stack? i believe he cought some flush on river! i think if he lost there, no mather how (if he did one bad call, or was bad beaten by some rags against his nuts..) his bankroll would be 0$ and we would see his name on titan freerolls, or poker stars 0.02/0.04$ tables...

to do what he did, you need to have all luck on the world, that's all! can we calling him a fluke ? i think the every player who wins online big event must be a "little" fluke to do it.. but chris moneymaker gives hope to all of us.. that we can only do 5% of what he did.. we only need his luck.. (i think his skill is not hard to reach)

and i think he would be bubble in bbp freerolls!

i personaly dont like moneymaker... he jut doesnt apeal to me. When i see him in advertisments it doesnt make me want to but the product... But my man PHIL IVEY!!! now thats a poker player and his advertisments are good there funny

By winning the WSOP Moneymaker took online poker to the next level and made millions of dollars for the online poker rooms. Anyone that criticizes anyone else because of the way they play poker, which is just a game, probably has an IQ equivalent to Moneymakers starting bankroll. (40).

In 2003, CM won 2.5 Million (leaves him about 1.5M after tax). In the 3 years following his win, he has won about $250,000 as a pro. I think that the numbers below speak for themselves. The "bullseye" on his behind is gonna make it tougher for him in any tournie.

OMG, in 2005 he put up a Goose-Egg and this year 7K. IMO, 2003 was a lucky/great year for him, but he wouldn't cut the mustard as a pro.
