| I think never showing your cards is generally good for everyone because showing your cards will affect how your opponent will play against you and you will have to change your strategy according to that. For example, if you show a bluff, he will mostly likely be looser afterwards. Or, if you show a monster hand you go all-in with, I agree that he will give you respect for your big raises. If you never show your cards, he will never know what you had and you don't risk letting him figure out how you play. However, if you are really smart, and can change your strategy accordingly, (like showing a bluff in one hand, and playing the hand exactly the same way when you have a monster), it might pay you off |

| I tend to play very uneven, on pourpose, so i do show my cards from time to time, both monsters and bluffs, but in a turney i show them on avarege 3-4 times. I think that showing your cards can confuse the opponents just aswell as to let them know what you are thinking. ![]()

| I usually show cards when players pay the right price because they deserve to see something. Too bad you can't just show 1 card like we all do in the casinos. haha that would be great if a site could make players have the option to fold, show cards, or just show 1 card. lol I don't think the networks will ever do this but it would be interesting. |

| I dont like to show cards because I dont want anything affecting the way my opponets look at the way I play. The only thing I want them to see is my betting patterns, and then I can change those. But I dont know how some seeing my cards will affect the way they play against me. The only time I would show card is when Im playing in my home game and if Im bluffing alot of the players will lay down their hands if I show them my cards.

| showing cards is good only when you want to show your table image as "tight" player who is raising with only good hands! that would give you advantage to bluff if you don't hit anything.. it can work in bubble time of MTTs.. otherwise, don't show your cards! i show cards sometimes when i'm playing good friendly games when the winning is not necessary for any price ![]()

| I almost never show my cards for the simple reason that when you do you are giving away information. You may think by showing you are outsmarting your opponent but there is a good possibility that he or she may know exactly what you are trying to accomplish. The only exception I make is if the other player is someone that I highly respect I may show him that I had the hand and wasn't bluffing. This is very rare because there are very few players that I highly respect. It is limited to ones that I have gone head to head on a final table at least 3 times and they have played sensible in all of them. |

| At Poker.com you can show just 1 card. I think that,s a cool feature and i use it occasionally. I like to mix up my bets and so show that sometimes. I will limp in with pocket ACES and then after the flop bet out the competition and then show my pocket ACES. Then they will think he limped in with pocket ACES. It keeps them off guard because they can,t guess what i,m holding. Then i may make a large bet with a lesser hand. |
