| I dont care much for re buy tournaments. Although I won tha AP 5K. It was a $20.00 buy in with re buys and add ons. There was nothing else going on so I said, Why not. There was 69 entrys in the game. I played tight for the first hour, There were alot of all in bluffs and one player even had to re buy 9 times. I didnt add on either. I made my add on in the first two minutes after the break, winning the chips from another player. The tourney was about two and a half hours long and I got 1ST place which paid $1500.00. Not bad for two hours of play and $20.00. |

| i don't prefer playing rebuy tourneys.. i play them sometimes, because the buy-in ratio/ prize poll is lower than in freezeouts, but i never take a rebuy or add-on. i play it like i play freezouts, with an exception, i would play lower hands here because of many players chasing to double at early stage - so i try to get some chips from beginning. i never rebuy or take add-on.. if i made decent stack till the break, i would tight up and chase the money place, which is really high in low rebuy tourneys ![]()

| I don't like the rebuys because of the loose players in them. I don't care how big your bankroll is I don't want to play with guys who move all in every hand for the first hour with 4-8 just to try and get up big. The rebuy tournament strategies parts 1 and 2 are good articles though. I recommend taking a look at them.

| Here is my stategy for ReBuy tournaments. I will play them, and if you are eligible to rebuy immediately, will do so. This gives me a double stack, and I play tight-aggressive for the first hour. I will almost always do the Add-On, unless I am in the top 5% of chips during the Add-On period. If I lose however during the time before the add-on/re-buy cutoff, I will not rebuy back into the tournament. At that point I worry about going on tilt, and playing too many dumb hands/draws. Just my opinion though, take it as you want! |

| I avoid rebuy tournaments because of the totally loose reckless play that goes on and even when I pick up a top 3 hand preflop and call a all in they always seem to suck out on me. I prefer not to waste my money, I don;t mind being outplayed because then it is just bad moves on my part but it really upsets me in these rebuy tourneys when people go all in 5-6 times in a row and if they lose they rebuy and if they win they keep going all-in knowing that for the most part they can't be knocked out because they have a chiplead over the other players. I prefer to play in a standard tourney where we all get the same ammount and no rebuys although I wouldn't mind a add-on period after the first break that could work |

dconner, you might want to check out the rebuy tournaments at Ongame skins like Poker Room or Hollywood Poker. These are limited to one rebuy plus the add-on. If you're patient in the first few minutes, these play like regular freezeouts, with your desired addon at the break. |

| To some I think that pride get in ther way.I myself take pride in not rebuying, but if your not going to or completely against it why would you play in one?The prize pools are what atract me to these ,for the ones I play in are strikcly the garunteed games. The add on is a must if you are still in the game unless you are short stacked. ty for your time!!! Woods
