| One strategy you can use in limit poker is to reduce the amount of money going into the pot by checking. If you are aware that a player is aggressive, play before that player, and want to limit your pot commitment until you see the turn or river, checking forces the other player to bet a smaller amount than s/he would probably like to bet. I've found this to be very useful when playing low limit, but it's only a small part of the strategy differences, I'm sure.

| If your holding the nut straight on the turn I would definatley bet pot. You want to guve the person with a flush draw bad odds. The guy with top set is going to give you action, if the board pair on the river I wouldnt commit to much more. Depending on the skill level of the people you are playign with. Do not bet pot after flopping a straight, I say just call and see what comes, because you don't want to commit a ton of chips till you are a signifigant favorite.(Like one card to come) With the best hand possible.

| If you have a strong hand then try and get the pot as large as possible so you can bet bigger on the turn and river. So as the others have said just play everyhand like a NL game.
