thats right all you had was a set of 10's with A 9 kickers. Omaha can be very tricky because you are dealing with so many cards and so many different options for hands. It really is a lot to try and keep up with. I prefer to stick to holdem because it is much easier. At least you can look at it this way it only cost you $1.35. Could of been much worse.

Yeah you have to watch your hand, I also dont like your call on the flop. I think that if you are going to play their you have to raise to try to shut out the draws because there are two hearts on the board, plus you can try to put the raiser on a nine or not.

thanks acorn. i appreciate your advice. I believe omaha can be something I can really make some money doing, b/c there are alot of different things newbies will have a hard time learning, as I did.....

Do you play alot of omaha? what site? limit? give me some tips man, i wanna achieve ACORN status!!!

First of all who doesnt want to achieve ACORN status

I dont play alot of High Omaha anymore but wher I just started out I would play all the time at Fulltilt in the $.05/$.10 PLO, there are some pretty easy tables there.

The most basic thing I can think of when making the switchin from Holdem to Omaha is (especially if you are playing low limit) you will need something close to the nuts to win in a showdown. When you first pick a hand to play preflop you should ask your self if the hand can turn in to the nuts. Also you have to be very careful to not get your money in with second best hand. Like if you have a fullhouse (J,J) JAA There is a very good posibility that someone else might have a better fullhouse with the AJ or A and another card on the board.

And if you havent read the Omaha section in Supersystem 2 then you should try to pick it. I read it after I had been playing it for a while and I wish I had read it before. There alot of stuff in there which I figured out on my own but cost me some of my bankroll.

Also if you havent noticed this already Omaha goes slower than Holdem so just realize that if you were in a full holdem game you might see about 60 hands per hour while in Omaha you would probaly only see about 40.
