Mansion Sportsbook currently has this promotion where if you bet $1,100 USD, you have a chance to win $1,000 USD (almost doubling up). The promotion will take place on Thursday 7 September (00:30 GMT 8 Sep 2006).

What's interesting is that if you are NOT a winner, you will be fully refunded all your losses ie. $1,100 USD. So there's nothing to loose.

The only catch is that you have to bet minimum $1100, best idea would be to bet exactly $1100 cuz that's the amount upto which they refund.

if you think they are a dodgy site, don't, last time they had a similar thing for Tottenham Hotspurs (English Soccer team) and they refunded the bet amount.

I had a mate that said he put money into mansion $30 I believe and he said they took out three more $30`s over two days and when he contacted them they just barred him .....his bank is looking into it , I seen his bank records and it is taken out by mansion....then again he may have been blind drunk for two or three days lol, but I dont think so. So before first deposit I would have a yarn to them about security for your card.

i really don't get this promotion..

if two of us.. for example, me and you karafran make a deal.. and you place bet of 1100$ on pittsburg, and i place a bet of 1100$ against them.. (it is with handicap, so there is no draw).. one of us will win 1000$ and the other one will be refunded, so we can share 500$ each?

that is really unreal, and i don't believe in this kind of promotions.. and i think there are many people who would do that way (for ex. opening one account from home, and one from work) - and what's the interest of betting room there? donating charity money, because they want to help to poor people ?!? lol

it's part of their marketing strategy to pull in all the high rolling sports gamblers.

believe it or not there's tons of people who lose thousands on sportsbetting, and mansion is using this as a way to make them aware of mansion, in the hopes that they'd move their business to mansion and gamble.

besides, anyone who does win the money, or get's their money back (because pitts lose), will have atleat $1100 sitting in their account while their details have to be confirmed before withdrawal is allowed (ie send forms in for identification, security etc) what do u think people will do with money in their accounts? bet on sports of course, or take it to the casino, play poker etc

they lose in the short run but they are hoping to establish a huge name in the sportsbook industry,

i thought there was a catch to, but the only one i can see is that you HAVE to bet minimum $1100, and you have to bet on pittsburgh on that game.

i've placed my bet if anyones curious about it. but i guess it's not easy for many of you because $1100 is still alot of money and you'd be wary to put it all on one bet (and you are still unsure whether you'll get your money back if they lose)

but they ran a similar promotion last time with a soccer team called Tottenham in england, and they gave money back when they lost, and i haven't heard of a person yet who didn't get their money back.

the only barrier while withdrawing is the forms and identification u ahve to send it
but that's a standard line for many other sites i beilieve

of course, i know that..i played minimum one ticket every day for last 5-6 years.. (i stopped now, i didn't played it for 2-3 months) .. but there is very big money spent there..

if you must bet on pitsburg that changes things.. i would like to deposit to some sporbetting room to play one ticket/week (just for fun), but 1100$ is too much in this moment for me
