Hi guys,

We had a great turnout in the first league event today. Out of the 29 qualifiers, 24 registered.

The rankings are attached in the image below.

Congrats to sunnypoker for taking first place even though he survived several all-in's. dconnerii was the cheap leader for quite a while in the tourney but lost to my AA against his KQ. I then managed to remain CL until 3 of us were left. dconnerii called my all-in with K-6 and hit a 6 or K against my A5 i believe. That was my end.
I'm not sure how the heads-up action was, but it didn't last very long.

I won the bounty on Lytspeed, and dconnerii won the bounty on me. Each get +5 points extra. I'll be soon putting an excel sheet together with all the members who currently have points. All points will be updated there after each league event is over.

Thanks to all who played today. Hope we have the same turnout in the $5 buy-in on Wednesday.

Hey Godlikev, you finished 7 places above me, so dont feel too bad. I have high hopes that my bowling league finishes in time for me to play the buy-in tournaments. I probably wont buy-in this week, just to see how late I end up getting home, but if it isnt too far after the start of the buy-in games, I will likely play next week on out.

I got ousted by Arjon early. I had AX and flop was AJX. I put out a bet and Arjon went all in with QT and caught a K for the straight. Nice catch. I could have lost to a variety of hands, but decided to make a stand. I got my chips in at the right spot, but lost to a Gutshot. Next week ...

I went out relatively early with 10-10. I raised preflop and when put all in I figured that I was up against A-K at worst. I was wrong, as he had K-K. Then the flop came out and I spiked a 10 and was in shock. Then the turn came off A and the river Q for his str8. Couldn't get lucky once or anything. Anyway congrats to whoever beat me on that hand (don't remember) and whoever got points in the tourney.

maybe i played it bad, i called allin with 77 against AQ (i guessed that i'm at coin flip or against lower pp) and lost it on turn.. (i won 1 of 10 coin flips that night so i wouldn't go on luck anymore ).. i think i had a stack for final table, i thinked to fold that hand (it was UTG), i limped, so when i was put on move, i gotta call that..

i hope i'll have more luck in next event..

I had a fairly decent chip stack for a long time until i got moved to the other table and sunny quickly became my nemesis. sunny went all in on 3 different occassions pre flop and all 3 times i called with the better hand and got outdrawn all 3 times. wouldnt you know it sunny would be the one who ended up kocking me out of the tourney as well. next time i'm coming for you sunny.

Congrats to the final table players! I'm sorry I could not stay for the entire game. I had my fantasy football draft that night, and I could not miss it. I thought I might of had enough chips when I left to last until the final table, but I was ONE place short! DOH! haha, good game everyone.
