Default Sept. 1 Quiz

A $10-$20 game. You are in early position holding . The first two players limp in and you raise. Two middle players and the two early players call. There is $115 in the pot and five players. The flop is: giving you a top set of queens. Both early limpers check. You bet and only the two middle players call. There is $145 in the pot and three players. The turn is the . You bet despite the flush possibility. No one may have a flush, and you have 10 outs to beat a flush. The next player raises and the third player folds. You call. There is $225 in pot and two players. The river is the giving you quads. What do you do?

Definitely bet but don't push all in. If they have the flush they will reraise most likely putting you or themselves all in. Just raise enough where you think you may get a call. that's all you could ask for. You push all in and they hold AA's or KK's they may not call considering that it's real cash but if they have a flush they could never put you on pocket Q's.

as i said, i'm not very good at limit. there are only two players in the pot, and you hoding the nuts. if you check probably the other player would bet, and then you go with raise hoping he will re-raise again.

if you bet he can be scared that you improved your set to a full-house and only call you there. really don't know what is the right answer here

Go ahead and bet and hope that he caught the flush and is in the mood to cap the betting. AND then you drop him like a sack of wet potatos.

Heres what I would do. Bet Bet Bet. If you check here you risk your opponent checking as well. If this happens not only do you not make any money but you allow him to see your hand without putting any more money in the pot. Opening up with a bet forces your opponent to make a decision. With th epot as large as it is your guaranteed to at least get a call because your opponent is commited.

is it just me, or are all these blatantly obvious?

so far you've had...

"what would you do if you flopped low two pair, and turn and river were duds?"

"would you call a minimum raise on an open ended straight-draw with several people in the pot?"

and now..

"would you bet with quads?"

Push Push Push I'd go all in in a minute, however I once flopped quad 3's and was beat by a straight flush.

It really depends on the players that you have been playing. If they are very aggresive I may go all in if they have been limping all night and holding back I would try to bet enough to keep them in. Then again if they are the pot stealing type I may not bet at all if I am one of the first ones to bet. Ofcourse if noone else bets you have to take a shot to try to get some chips.

Would bet enough to get a call, if not a reraise. Going all in will likely scare off anyone with less then a full house, and even then they are likely to think you have Queens over. By betting conservatively, you likely will get at least a call, thus making more.
