Every once in a while I like to show the table a bluff just to mess with the other players heads. My table image is typically very tight and aggressive, but I like to get a little bit of a psychological edge over my opponents here and there by showing them a hand that nobody in their right mind should be playing.

I usually pop out this trick about an hour or so after sitting at a table. After everybody thinks they have pinned me down to a certain style and play. I'll try and get the hand heads up against a fairly weak, non-aggrissive player - mainly so it doesn't cost me that much if i end up losing. I only show the bluff if I end up winning the hand.

How do you guys play your bluffs?

if it's just a casual game for fun/not serious, i would show it.

I never show a bluff because I dont want anything to infuence my opponets decsions in the future. I like to keep my opponets guessing about my hand. And if I show a bluff its just one more thing that I have to worry about when Im in a hand after I show the bluff. Ill have to worry if my opponets saw the bluff or not and which opponets it affected.

The only time I would show a bluff is if Im playing in a home game with some of my friends who will almost always lay down their hand if you tell them you will show them yours.

I make it a point to never show if I dont have to. Even showing an extreme winner when you dont have to gives away a lot of information. I have a buddy who will show you when he has a monster hand, but then mucks when he doesnt have anything. Thats the same as showing them because we can always tell when he doesnt have anything!

If you are going to show your bluff, you gotta do it at the right time, and be ready to play conservative after that. If you push someone out with garbage, and then show garbage, that might be the last time you will be able to do it.

Im with you Law i never show at anytime especially if on a site a player can make notes on you then sees you at a table again and then does get his own back. Plus its my secret nobody elses lol.

i always muck my bluffs. If i show i feel i'm giving away info. Just my opinion though.

I always muck every hand i win whether it be a bluff or the win that way your opponents never know what you have and its harder for them to take notes on you.

In my notes, I red flag anyone who has shown me their cards. Bluff or not. If I note this, then others do as well....I never show.

I will not show a bluff. I don't like what it communicates and I don't want them to call later when I have a decent hand but not a real solid hand b/c they think they can win (which they probably would).

If I have a run of strong hands and I can steal the blinds I will show a few there just so people don't think I have stopped playing poker and have decided to play bingo or the lottery with my cards.

I never show my cards (win or bluff) . Its just something I never learned how to do.
