Default Using Bonuses To Build Your Bankroll

Building a bankroll is one of the most important things a poker player can do. A sufficient bankroll allows you to play the game of your choice on a regular basis without fear of going broke. It also allows you to keep your poker money separate from the rest of your finances, which can save you and your family a lot of headaches. Besides simply putting in time at the tables, there is another way to bulk up your bankroll: bonuses.

This is a good post, and I agree with everything you said completely. I'm just curious why you post (everything I've seen so far) on a seperate page?

I noticed this website has a couple of writers so I think they want to give credit to the authors by posting the teaser.

great heads up on the complexities
of bonuses.
being a beginner and micro limit player
i have not as of yet been able to
take advantage of bonuses.
maybe some day in the future.
they seem to be just for players
who play like 1-2
as far as i know there are no bonus
programs for micro players...right??
best,
donvic

Most bonuses rely on a certain level of rake being taken out of hands, usually 25 cents. The lowest level that will "earn" that sort of rake on a regular basis is .50/1, and even then you're not guaranteed to hit the rake. If you get four or five players to a flop, though, it's almost a lock that the hands will be raked. Competition at .50/1 isn't really any different than the smaller games, though, so if you have $50 to deposit you might consider taking a shot at it.

It's *definitely* being put to good use. I'll be putting it through hell in Tunica, I'm sure. :-) Thanks for the praise - see you in one of the freerolls sometime soon.
