| it happen to me lately.. was playing in bad freeroll with 150 people there.. i made my stack to 35k so i was hoping for top 5.. but i finished without money in 30th place.. the reason is that i lost a big hands vs big stack.. but i really couldn't fold that hands.. both times i raised preflop, hit trips (i mean when you have AQ with QQ on flop - you don't think you're behind there, second times i had AK with two kings there (one on flop, i got another on on turn)) but the other guy has his set (66 and 88) and robbed all my stack.. sometimes hands dealt there give the both players a monsters.. i mean when you raise preflop with AQ and get one caller, and flop comes QQ6 rainbow, how many players in the world would fold that hand?? i think 0 is the answer.. (the only hand that can beat you there is 66 and it is dealt to your opponent)

| Titan and all sites give bad beats many times. The trick they usually do is have new members of the site win early and as they keep playing they will lose all their money to the site. It always happens. Trust me most players on a site that are new members will be somewhat successfull. As you think it is easy money when reality that may just be the scam. All in all online poker is still fun |

i agree with you smmoth, i think you're totally right.. when i was started playing on titan, i couldn't lose in first 5-6 days.. and i played like every begginer, calling every hand and every raise with any suited card.. i was moving on gutshots, catching runner-runner flushes.. i almost won 2000$ jackpot on dirty dozen with the worst play in the world (but almost.. i finished 3rd or 4th in 4th tourney).. now i can't finish in the money (i can't even think to win one Dirty Dozen) because i'm always sucked by a player who plays my style when i was beggining (for example, my 13bb raise with KK called by 48 suited, then calling allin with 4 on board giving him trips or two pairs till the river)... of course, i lost all my bankroll later, and started from zero again - but in my mind because of that wins i was "really good poker player"..my advice is, when you build bankroll and learn something about poker, move to higher buy-in tourneys.. (on those with 1 or 2$ buy-ins you would be always outdrawn)

| That was funny as anything. That is almost as bad as a live beat I took, playing 7 card stud. I had 3 5's showing, and a fourth hidden. My opponent had 2 Queens, a 6 and a 8 showing. I raised him and he called me, about $50 in the pot. I asked if he hit is full house, and he says yes, turning over two of his under cards that were sixes. I flipped over my other 5, thinking I had him beat. Then he flips over another 6. So i can get how that guy felt! |
