Default Poker League Game #4 Results

14 people joined today's tourney. We had a tough game since everyone was after the first spot that paid $35 and more importantly 105 league points.

It was a rough beginning for some. Trips was the first to exit when his pocket Aces got cracked by Thinkerbell's set of Queens on the river. Next was dovla who was lost almost all his chips against ... can't remember who but his set of 5 didn't hold up against someone's set of 9. Ne couldn't improve and was out. Then the game slowed down a bit on our table.

The final table action was exciting. Thinkerbell who was 2nd to CL lost all her chips in one hand against Dconnerii. Drago whom i thought was doing pretty well lost most of his chips in one hand as well. Then he made a nice comeback by going allin several times...but that didn't last long.

Dconnerii maintained his chiplead until he lost 2 hands in quick session against elon and finished in 3rd spot. He also knocked me out and earned 5 extra points. elon busted both CemFred and Lytspeed to secure the 1st place win and 5 bounty points respectively.

Congrats to elon, dconneri, and CemFred for finishing in the money.

Here's todays results:

1. elon05 ....$35
2. CemFred...$21
3. dconnerii...$11
4. NewAlf....(bubble)

All you need is one or two 1st place finishes in the buy-in's.

What I want to know is if anyone actually took Drago's bet about me finishing in the Top 3? I was playing so tight yesterday, since I was having no luck at the sit-n-gos I was playing earlier that day. I literally went two entire SnGs without winning a hand, and getting zero pocket pairs and nothing better then an A-8 suited. It the first hour of Game #4 last night was the same, but I finally started hitting cards in the 2nd hour. Great playing everyone, and great win by Elon.

I thought about that later. I think his expectation was that you would take 3rd behind him, though, not 2nd.

Great playing, cem!

Thank you Lyt. Just playing the cards I had. Still trying to get a read on the regulars, I know that everyone has their own style of play. After a quick flame out in the 1st Freeroll and just barely making the final table in the 1st Buy-in, I was looking to get a better finish. It was nice getting enough points to be in 4th place overall for now, and since I had just put a $20 deposit on Titan, I literally won more yesterday then I deposited. I like Titan, especially the hand histories and the in-game stats.

great game.. i lost really early.. my set of 5s was crashed by thinkerbells set of 9s on turn.. maybe i played that hand wrong - i had set on raised flop of K45 rainbow, and only called dragos bet of 125 chips followed to thinkerbell's call. I was trying to trap more chips in the pot, but turn was 9, thinkerbell catched set there, betted really hard and i reraised (i put him on K9) , and lost almost all my chips.. after that i lost my allin vs drago with QJ suited against pair of nines..

i really don't like to lose to a bigger set, but it was the hand which can't be folded on board like that.. congrats for all participants especially to finishers in points.. dconnerii played masterpiece poker until 3 of them last, then he played finish bad and took only 3rd place.. elon is now a leader of the league, dconnerii is second (i think he is ahead for 5 points because of those bounty points, i'm the third..). it's still plenty of great games to come, so i'm waiting for the next one to improve my points, and have a great time..

gl guys

Nice job everyone. I had some early momentum and then just went kind of card dead when the blinds started going up. In retrospect I probably pushed a little too soon But with an M of about 4 whats a gal too do. I will take my 7th place finish for last nite!!
