Sounds like fun. Usually SNGs pay off the top three players with a 50-30-20 percent division of winnings for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers respectively. Let us know if this is also the case. What were the starting stacks and blinds? Good luck.

i'm back now... it was ridicoulus ![]() They said they will start at 9 p.m, i was there at 8.30 and I got registered for S'n'G number 5. They only had 2 tables so there were 2 rounds before my tourney. I had to wait till about 12p.m. an then they decided to change the blind structure with blind raises every 7 minutes (on live tables, this is less than one round of the button). Starting chips: 2500 blinds: 75/125, 125/250, 250/500, 500/1000, 1000/2000, 2000/4000. The payout was 50%,30%,20%, pot was 225 euros. The first hand I played was in 500/1000 blinds, which was K4 suited (i only got _the_ crap before that) and I won. After that hand, blinds were raised to 1000/2000 and I got big blind. Had to fold BB (3,4 off and somebody went all in). After that, I had 2150 chips left and was in SB which took nearly half of my chips, so I went all in with 6,3 suited got called by the BB (the only caller), who had 9,3 suited and cought a full house. Anyways, it was fun to play at a real table, but the game was pure gambling and had nothing to do with strategy poker.. ![]() This was the first time the casino had any holdem poker so all players have filled out a survey and nearly everyone complained about the sick blinds... Maybe next time it will be better ![]()

Too bad on those fast blinds, but it sounds like fun. A couple of good hands can get you into the money. And there is plenty of interest, so hopefully the casino will expand. They are raking 10% for live action, which is not any different from online. So better luck next time.

Most tourneys need time before they really take off. (It's a learning experience for the casinos as well) As you said this is pretty new to you guys. Stick with it and by the time you come in 1st there will be a good prize pool. GL and enjoy.

I wouldn't play in a live SNG with just blinds changing every 7 minutes. Like you said is pure luck on this blinds. I played live only with my friends and used 15 minutes per blind. In my town there is only one big casino that is interested to bring one or two holdem tables. We talk to them this mounth and the tables must arrive and also the teach some dealers at Bucharest how holdem goes. It's kind of ridiculos, that in this days are still people which has casino's and are not interesten in holdem poker. I'm sure that the things will change because online poker it's growing very fast here in Romania and players are trying to build a big federation so they can organize live tournaments.

mhan 7 minutes per blind is turbo even in online poker..that really sucked...i never played in a casino...i only played live with my friends...and the blinds were at 15 minutes....but i think 20 minutes is good for blinds in live games...

I love turbo poker. Makes poker far more fun as players are forced to try to make chips quicker as blind will eat you alive. I love online poker just because it is fast pace and can win money quicker but live play is more relaxing as you can be more patient.
