Default Please help me with this!!!!!!!

Ok I was at the casno lastnight after my early exit to the freeroll(damn internet connection) any way after having ot wait 45 minutes to get an open seat I bought in for 150 in a 1-2 no limit I entered as the big blind and was dealt 4-2 of clubs(normally a hand I wouldn't play) anyway everyone limps in(9 players) so I chack my option and the flop comes three clubs it gets checked around and a man bets 6 dollars a women who is a loose as a you can ever be raise to 20 another man calls and another one calls so I put everyone on draws and top pair anything but a flush already so I raise it to 50 total the first better folds and the women goes all in for another 26 on top of my 50 total for a new total of 76 1 calls the 76 and another goes all in for 8 more so I call and the last guy calls so 4 people are in this hand after the flop with two all in(one of the guys tells me he is on a draw and I put him on the bnut flush draw and I was right)and I put 2 on flush draws and one on top pair the turn comes a blank and I check and the other guys moves all in enough to put me all in so after hearing everyone tell me I have the pot odds to call which I do because with so much in the pot I'm getting more than 3-1 on my money a hell of a lot ore than 3-1 I put in my last 66 dollars and I watch as the guy to my right shows A of clubs and a 5 of diamonds the loose women shows K of clubs and 7 of hearts and to my horror the guy I put on top pair shows Q-7 of clubs which has me drawing dead the river brings a nother diamond and I lose 150.00 in one hand.... No before people start calling me a donkey and say why would you call and raise so much with 4-2 of clubs think about the odds for a minute....I have a 0.84 percent of flopping a flush on the flop and I don't even know the odds that two people flop a flush and two more flop flush draws so what I want to know is could I have put someone else on a flush allready??? I put them on draws but could I really put someone on a flush? any insight from anyone would be appreciated and although I welcome constructive feedback I could do without and words of donkeyness because I can't see how I could be a donkey when I flop a flush

My .02 -

That many people in the hand, and with such low suited clubs, I gotta be thinking that someone has better clubs.

I would have thrown them. But thats just me.

I put the other people on flush draws but can you really think another person flopped a flush when it is a .84% chance for one person to flop a flush let alone the odds for two people?

see in a hand like that the point that was made was did someone flop a higher flush than you did, and i perfectly agree that with that many people throwing money around that your flush may not have been the best at the time. even those people betting huge with the ace or king of clubs would scare me because if another club comes up you lose automatically so that seems like alot of money on a small flush even though it may be two cards. There is no way you can get away from the hand and have to go all in on the flop but your odds of winning the hand are not as good as it seems. The only way you get away from it is if you fold pre if someone had raised.

You checked after the flop and saw a tremendous amount of action. Most people would have a very tough time getting a way from that one. I have also seen a similar situation live. BB had low cards suited in spades, middle had KhKs and the LP had AXs. The flop was three spades (all < K) so two players had flushes (one with the nut) and one had a flush draw. The BB made a pot sized bet and the KK folded. The BB lost his chips to the nut. Chalk it up to a very tough night. First hand and out, OUCH.

I play a little tighter then most, but I would have to think that the 24c would not be the nuts with 9 people staying in for the flop. With that many cards out, it would stand to reason that someone else had a better flush, and with all the raising and reraising I would probably have gotten out of the pot right after the flop with all that betting. I dont think that may people would be throwing in that kind of money if ALL of them were on draws. Just my opinion.

Default Justice for me

last night I limp in with 7-6 clubs and flop another flush I bet 10 dollars after te flop and it was raised to 30 dollars and then it was called by another peson it came bacl to me and I moved in on top of the 30 for another 150 to put me all in the guy who raised to 30 folded his top pair(queens) and the other guy a young kid looked at me and I told him I know you are on a draw and im going to make you pay to draw out on me and he said yeah its a big price and he calls with his ace high flush draw and I was sick because all I could think was that he would hit his flush on the river to beat me like he has everyone else on the river so when the turn and river didn't help him it put the 400+ pot into my corner of the table so thank you all for your comments on my last flush everyone has their own opinion and thats cool I just thought differently in the heat oif the moment

Another aspect of this was that it was the first hand, so you didn't know how the table was playing in terms of tight or loose, right? I'm hesitant to make any big moves (unless I know I've got the nuts) until I get a sense of the players. I will make decisions according to how solid the players are. If a tight player makes a big bet, and there's a lot of ways I could be beaten, I try to lay it down. That's what they say after all, the measure of a good player is not in what they decide to play, but in what they decide to lay down.
