Jamie Gold played in his first tournament since the WSOP tournament in Las Vegas. Jamie made it down to the last 2 tables and was the chip leader going into the last day of place. Jamie ended up taking 16th place which was very impressive with all that he is experiencing and going through with the lawsuit.

I have been watching jamie gold play alot throughout the 2007 Wsop, and i am really not that impressed. Besides The Fact that he wins almost every race, or even being dominated, he never seems to not suck out. I mean he must have some skill winning it, using his big stack well, with some succesful bluffs. And with a guidance like Chan, that should help

Since I started this question....Now that I've seen the final table how dissapointing Granted he did get the Moneymaker kind of hands so LUCK was a huge part of his win, but come on...his table talk was annoying and just plain stupid. His flashing his cards should have brought some kind of penalty. And I'm sorry but I just wanted to slap his mother As far as his lawsuit ... if the guy has his word on tape just give him half the winnings you cheap bastard. Be a man and a class act like Steve Danniman (?)

I haven't heard whether there is a cause and effect relationship in part between the two, but I wonder if Jamie Gold's getting in via someone else's seat and then having half of his winnings frozen has anything to do with the WSOP's new policy of no longer allowing people to win a seat directly through an internet qualifier. The online sites will still figure out ways to get people in the tourneys; for example, instead of winning a seat entry that they send to you a player will receive enough cash to get to Vegas and buy and entry themselves. However, everything about Jamie Gold seems kinda shady. The TV show that he is connected to sucks, and the Internet Movie Database does not even list him as being involved with the show. For him to promise half of his winnings to that guy and then try to reneg on it is low-rent. His signing with Bodog--perhaps the sluttiest poker room out there--was pretty classless too.

he aint such a bad guy after all. i saw the rawvegas clip of his interview and seemd like a nice guy. But when it comes to his poker skills....ouch..
