Hello All, in the last tourny(i ended up winning) I layed 2 bad beats during it. The first was AK(me) vs AA. A king came on the flop so I went all in and ended up hitting a river king for 9200 chips. Is this considered a bad beat?

The second was the last hand of the tourny on which Q6 vs Q8 and i caught a river 6 to win. On this hand I had a flush draw and there were 2 overs to his 8 kicker. Is this considered a bad beat?

I've gone back and forth on this. The more I think about it, neither is a bad beat but more bad luck on the other player. The second hand I had top pair which came on the turn and numerous other cards to make a flush. On the first hand I had top pair with top kicker and the other player didn't show strenght in his preflop raise. Let me know what you guys think and help me clear my mind.

First of all it doesn't matter if it is a bad beat or not any two cards can win in any hand of holdem...It could be a bad beat a misread on either player whatever ...to play this game you can't worry about it because Sh*t happens in poker say sorry if you want but don't feel bad I used to feel bad when I was domanated by someone and I sucked out on the river but it will happen to you as well so just forgot about it and play the next hand.

I would consider both to be a bad beat because you were behind on both hands and came from behind but like I said it happens you thought you were good but you weren't and you got lucky thats poker
