Default What do you do

I had $2.14 on All in poker the site that is closing down. I used $1 in a no limit tourney and didnt cash nor did I rebuy so I was down to $1.14.

Tonite I sit down at a pot limit .05/.10 with my whopping $1.14. table max is $10. I go on a nice little heater and am up to $9 or so. Minimum cash out is $10. since the site is shutting down tomorrow I have a predictament. I need to get up to $10. I see a few more flops and am down to about $8 and change. I am dealt KK. I call another players raise as does someone else. Rag flop. I raise and am reraised... You can pretty much guess what happens. I reraise again and we are all in. Im not surprised to see the Aces staring me in the face. I have a chance at a flush but it doesnt come and he hits a set to knock me out.

I was on such a nice little run and feel silly for donking off $8 like that but I was gambling and now I dont have to worry about a withdrawal. Plus I never deposited in the first place.

Would you have gotten away from the hand down a couple bucks and tried to work back up to $10 in another stand or do you make it there?

I don't think I would have played it any different, Irongirl. You had a great hand, and you were playing on money that you didn't expect to have in the first place.

Don't beat yourself up over it; in the end, you are only down $2.14 and you expected to lose it anyway.

If I know I am beat, no matter how much I have in, it's time to get out. But, if I do not know I am beat, and I am strong such as KK, then, I play like I am not beat. Such as you did. To me, it's more important to play my hand for what it is, rather than what I may be able to cash out after it....that's my opinion...if I based my play on whether I had reached a certain goal in my chip stack or bankroll.....I wouldn't play my cards for what they are....pretty soon I would be folding KK everytime somebody reraised me.....over the long run....how profitable would that type of play be? Doubtful my play would be profitable at all....

You would of lost your money regardless of the site closing...there was noway to tell the guy had you beat. Suck it up to sh1t happens and play on. It's always better to lose someone's elses money than it's is to lose your own.

All in just sent me an email that they found a buyer and are now not closing lol. Now I wish I had folded the kings when I could have gotten away from the hand. I know the 4th raise means Aces. Im fine with losing the money It was freebie money and one less site to deal with now.

Worry about your hands were you leak or play trash - you only end up minimizing your profit worrying about your losses with monsters

Default What would you do?

If there was no possible was for a flush or st8 drawI probably would have played it the way you did. But if an Ace hit the board before the reraise, I might have folded thinking he had an ace in his hand. If the reraise came before the Ace hit the board I might have thought he had tripps.

However, since I play mostly freerolls and have little ringtable experience, my judgement about how to play it would come from that prospective. We all know how crazy the bets are in freerolls.

My understanding is that ringtable play is different from freeroll play. Guess it really comes down to how he played prior hands and how sure I was of my Kings.

You did well. Folding KK to AA preflop is just almost literally impossible. Because out of the like 1800 or so... something like that... combination of hands theres only 1 there that your afraid of. And with a low flop like that theres nothing you can do.

To the End!
