| Joining the long list of Poker pros that have fronted an online Poker site is legend Doyle Brunson. Doyle has earned his legendary status by proving himself to be one of the very best of all time, so a site with “The Man’s” name attached to it has some high standards to live up to! Is Doyle’s Room up to the standard of its namesake? Read full article at http://www.blindbetpoker.com/sites/d...om-review.html

| The competition at Doyle's Room is pretty soft most of the time, whether you're playing cash games or tourneys. The tournament structures do move pretty quickly, though, so you have to be prepared to gamble it up a bit if you want to win. That's the case with any tournament, you just have to do it more quickly at Doyle's if you don't catch good cards early. :-)

| NxtYear, I am very interested in what you said in your post and was hoping to get a few more details. What I take from your comment is that unlike Noble/CD/BetFred and Party/Empire/etc where you can have an account at each skin and play on each, so long as you don't play on more than one at the same time, you can only have one account period at any one of the Tribeca skins...regardless whether you play them at the same time or not. Am I hearing you correctly? How did they find out? Did they stop you during the registration process? I have heard you can set up another account if you use a second e-mail address at some of the other sites. |

| nah, don't worry, it's all fixed. i had to contact the support team and tell them that i was having difficulty creating a new account. they told me to give me the details of the other site (VC Student Poker) and they would make me a new one. since then i haven't tried that old one so i'm not sure what happened to that one now. edit: and yeah i used a diff email/account name. the problem occurs when trying to get your real money account to be opened, i think there was some file on my computer which halted that from being happening easily due to the previous poker program. so i had to contact them. |

| One thing people might want to be aware of - some will probably like it and others won't - is that Doyle's Room give you a large starting stack, 2000 chips plus a blind structure that doesn't seem to go up as quickly as thse at some other sites. Together with that, sitouts are not removed from play. The result of these factors is that tournaments tend to take somewhat longer than average for a given number of players. |

| the blind stucture is rather odd i think. being so used to 1000 or 1500, these Tribeca network rooms (i think they are called) feel odd sometimes i'm on 3000 chipstack and i think to myself "wow i'm doing great!" but that only equals to 1500 in the normal structure which makes it marginally leading situation.. although it's better than Pacific's 800 chips i guess! as for the speed of the game, i tend to like the turbo Sitngo's in these rooms. maybe it's the nature of my aggressive playing that makes it so much easier for me, but the fast growing structure in Turbo in these poker rooms have only been successful for me (of course that means "breaking even" for me cuz usually i'm a net loser !) |

| I agree - Pacific Poker can get ridiculous. I really don't like the 800 starting chips. It's too small of a stack (I find Doyle's room to be a little too much too). I much prefer 1000 or 1500 starting stacks. Pacific Poker is essentially a crap shoot in a lot of their freerolls and low buy-in tourneys, because you start with only 800 chips and then blinds increase every couple minutes. If you are catching cards early, then this is an awesome structure because you can build a nice stack early - and these tourneys go really quick with such a fast structure. However, if you are catching some cold cards to start, you are in big trouble, because those blinds come around fast and increase even faster. It's especially bad because the talent level at Pacific is pretty low, so you get a lot of people just going all in, and when you have bad cards you aren't going to be able to see many cheap flops to try and hit some kind of a hand. The way this post turned out, maybe it should have been in a different thread....but all i was trying to say is that I prefer 1000 or 1500 starting stack and think Doyle's room is a little too slow (better than Pacific though) |
