In 1997/8 Leisure Suit Larry's Casino came out. It was online, multiplayer and fun to play. It had a bunch of different games. Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, and I think poker. It was quite fun to play because you had the choice of avatars and the like...
Fast forward to 2004 and I decide to look at online poker. I get to thinking about Leisure Suit Larry's Casino again. I dig up my copy, load it onto the computer and start to play, but I can only play single player. I do a little research and figure out they no longer support online multiplayer play...odd I think because Sierra is a big company, owned now by Electronic Arts and it can't take a big set of servers to host this 1997/8 technology based on dial-up bandwidth. People are mad. Forums complain. But no explanation is ever given as to what happened to the game and why is it not hosted anymore. Just a flat statement on the website saying support is being discontinued.
Fast forward to a few months ago where I finally see
Full Tilt...hey guess what? It's Leisure Suit Larry's Casino. The avatars are the same, the sounds of the cards dealing is the same...all of it. Just some new avatars that are chariactures of Poker Pros.
I have never seen this tidbit of trivia posted anywhere else, so this is a first. If you don't believe me, find a copy of this and check it out for yourself. Its pretty interesting. Oh for the days of Leisure Suit Larry.
