Thumbs up Ten Commandments of poker

Those are good commandment and I try to live by them at the tables. However, I don't think most people do. At least the ones I play. They break all the commandments and still end up winning long enough to knock good players out of the tourneys.

Angry

I feel your pain. Over the weekend, I played in a freeroll (one of those with about a zillion players to start). I was doing well, playing a little conservatively but making good progress on my chip stack. Hours passed, and there were about 100 players left. I had a great chip stack, but nowhere near the leaders. I was at a table where I saw that one player was always chasing people out of the hand with preflop all-ins, even when players had committed a fair number of chips to betting pre-flop. So I get AK suited, and raise pre-flop. This clown goes all in, everybody folds. I am positive he has nothing, and if I double up I'll be in amuch better position to keep going against the biger stacks. So I call. Cards are turned over. He has 3,5 offsuit. I am happy; I was right; he had squat. So flop comes Q,10,7 rainbow. I'm still way ahead. Turn is a 2. And then a 5 comes on the river!!! I howled like a wounded basset hound. That's when I hate those clowns who play like that. They should be punished for their foolish and arrogant ways. Of course, if I'd have won, I'd be singing a different tune.

Loved the 10 Commandments. As long as there are players there will be Clowns, Donkeys and just plain stupid people playing. But hey thats where the money comes from.

Default those guys...

those guys are everywhere, you can't avoid them. Eventually though if you play long enough, goodness will prevail like always.

My tip to you is that if it's not really your night, you should go home and read a nice book instead of playing poker.
There's nothing worse than playing when you don't want to play.
