ty m8s.. i'll try to give my best - only top 20 paid for now (180 registered) but i think it will be more players.

it's my first big event (and really huge step because it's 20-30 times bigger difference than my biggest event so far). i can't lose too much here - only 22$ that i gave for buy-in for that satellite so i'm not on big pressure (now i realize why is too much better to win a seat throught a satellite than direct buy-in)

and next thing i realized what was my mistake, is that on bubble time on tourneys and on big events where players are on pressure ("bubble effect" or "i paid too much for buy-in" effect) everybody is playing really tight and conservative. hands that you would play (and raise - or even call a move) in lower tourneys (like low pp, AJ, even big pp like 1010, JJ or QQ) don't look too good here as they look in lower tourneys (because of those two "effects"). so people are usually folding awesome hands just to make into money or they are always paranoic that somebody has AA or KK.. so my point is that on bubble time or on big tourneys good aggresive play is the best style of playing (in bubble time for making stack for top 5, in big tourneys for making stack early).. i'll really try to play good, i had good plays last week, but last two days i had awesome suckouts on turns and rivers so - i'm sceptic.. (but as i said, i'm not on pressure because i can't lose anything - i can only be on profit here).. thanks for great wishes, you'll be informed in BBP freeroll tommorow (if i don't get drunk for finishing in top3 positions)

just kidding

Dovla finishes 174. Nice showing Dovla. It seemed you were playing very conservatively, but since I couldnt see you card it may have just been you werent getting cards. Either way you had a very respectful showing especially for your first big event.

eh.. ty mate - i think i could do much better here. i was scared and pot commited, and without any percent of luck of course..but i think that that are common mistakes of begginers playing in big events..

my first hand dealt on my BB (starting hand) - J9 hearts - one limper
flop 8710 rainbow.. (i said - mhaaaan straight).. limper betted, i raised (first mistake) he called. turn was 8, ehh that scared me.. he betted he called - river was something like 2 he betted solid and i didn't reraised (he had K8 - so it was big chance for doubling in first hand). then i was dealt some solid hands (drawing ones) but not hitting anything, i bluffed couple of times good (ehhh.. i could get a heart attack bluffing there..). i was about 3k stack after the first break.

then - AA.. one limper (the same which i didn't kicked first hand) - i reraised he called. flop was all lows, he moved i must to call that.. he had 55 (with no 5 on board) and i doubled.. (about 5,5 stack)

then turning point - AK hearts in late middle position.. one guy raised the pot for 800 before me and i just called - then 2,7k stack moved.. first raiser folded and i was pot commited and called that (you know that first hand in "rounders" when matt damon already saw heself on WSOP? - that was my money ticket).. he showed KK - and of course with JQ on flop my hand didn't improved.. i think that was mistake number one (and only mistake beside that flat call with str8 in first hand).

blinds become solid then, i found who are the "idiots" on the table (and you won't believe how many of them are playing tourney with 220$ buyin. two left from me, and one that guy i doubled with AA in right from me. they were really lucky couple of times, but m8s they were raising from utg with QJ (calling 2-3k allins with JQ, 33 and A4, moving with bottom pair on flop) - i really wasn't expected that kind of players there - of course they sucked other players and stayed in the game with solid stacks) i found one really awesome player who always doubled and doubled on them(they sucked other ppl - and stayed in the game, and then giving chips again to him ) and now he is on top3 (he had great hands too).

eh.. to continue my sad story .. last hand.. Q10 off on bb (blinds 150/300) one limper (guy who beat me with KK) , sb (that pro player called) and flop came J92 (with two spades).. limper betted 600 (i thinked too much, before that i had 3 open ended draws and missed all the time), i called even i didn't had odds (i had 2k stack), pro player folded. then 3rd spade came (i had queen of spades) and eh.. i tried to bully (like i got flush) here and moved (1,4 stack, open ended str8 draw, flush draw on turn and queen).. he called with AJ off (no spade) river was 10, that was my last hand.. i'm thinking now about my mistakes (and maybe i played last hand bad, but i don't find it as mistake i had lot of outs (with only one card to come) and it looked like a good bluff (i would fold with his hand there) but still.. you must have some luck).. my biggest mistake was AKs call but STILL i had my chances there (gutshot and 3 outer ace on the flop) - i was really pot commited (but i'm sure if i had that KK there that would be my last hand for sure - and sure some other players will win with AKs there)..

summary: that was my first big event and i was glad that i played it (and played it good). i expected much more better players and i saw too many idiots (i'm sure there are too much better players on BBP). there were great players of course. i never got a hand against idiots, i always had good hand against good players (i noted those two as an easy double, because they called everything, but i never get hands when they were involved in pot (and Q10 and ace rag were moving hands for them). and i could be lucky for 1st time in my life to win huge pot with AK but i didn't.. i hope my luck will come in next bigger event.. but i'm pleased with my performance.. ty for everybody who supported me, i hope we'll all play next big event and win some good cash

P.S i found there is a 1500$ freeroll for people who participated so i'm going to play that gl tonite

sounds like you played pretty solid poker, no worries players like the hackers that you mentioned previously always seem to get lucky when the raise with junk and cripple or minimize your chip potential. good experience playing in a top notch tourney like this.
